The best until they break
Been about ages these clamps, not in wide use anymore due to chipboard flooring but the even work good on that stuff as well but not really needed, that is until the cam springs break, you'll find loads of people using them broken b ecause eventually the cam springs break and I haven't found anywhere to get replacements, I have a pair of these and both right hand cams no longer work due to spring failure, I even phoned Irwin UK up , the man said if they had spares he'd of sent me some free of charge but even they don't get them, they only get complete units sent to them, seeing the only place that still seems to make them is Irwin Australia it seems a bit poor that a 50p spring that breaks can't be replaced because nobody has simple wear and tear sparesSo five stars for the product while working but only one star for the tool being virtually disabled by a 50p spring wearing out so overall only can give it a 3, if somebody knows where you can get replacement springs, I'd gladly give this a five star glowing review.

never wear out
I have used these floor cramps for the last half century and cramped up thousands of metres of T&G flooring with them, they only need the accational drop of oil on the cams and I have rarely had to grease the winding gear. They are still in perfect working order.I wish I could say the same for my knees.
