I’m 66 years old. I’ve searched for a good shaving solution for my sensitive skin and sparse beard. Think Asian man who doesn’t like math. My father taught me to shave and I used what he used a foaming shave. Eventually I switched to a shave cream which was better but still left my face a little raw. I finally asked a barber what he used and he pointed me toward this shave cream and a boar bristle brush to apply the cream. He also gave me a brief lesson on shaving DO’s and don’ts. ( spellcheck automatically capitalizes DO’s because I use it a lot. My old high school is DO )Using this shave cream and the boar brush - also available on Amazon - made a big difference for me. I get a much nicer shave with a lot less irritation. I shave every other day which helps my skin recover and so I don’t look like I’m unkept. The ultimate test is my wife gives the new shave the thumbs up.

I’m a dark skin, curly-haired man still looking for the perfect formula to take me out of my razor burn misery. The butter is very thick, as I expected, but it doesn’t lather that well. I soon realized that you have to use a decent amount each shave (which I can’t afford to).As far as comfort is concerned, it’s a tiny bit better than what I currently use (Dr Bronners Peppermint soap) but definitely not a game changer. It earns a passing grade. I’ll keep the jar but I don’t see myself refilling again, especially when you consider the high price tag.It’s good for what it is, a natural alternative to barbershop formulas’, but I’ll keep looking around. Grade: B-

Smells descent, but nothing to really highlight as far as a smooth shave performance goes. I’ve purchased much cheaper off the shelf shave creams at our neighborhood Grocery store that worked as well or better. One plus though is the packaging for this product (glass jar) was better than a tube if you use a shave brush..but...it was a small jar, so try to use sparingly which is hard to do because I had to use a little more of this product than usual.

The frankincense makes this a very special experience. One of the finest shave creams I’ve ever used.

I bought this for my bikini line as nothing seemed thick and protective enough. This actually works! I do have to wash my razer very frequently to keep shaving, but it is far better than being nicked repeatedly.The one major flaw is that this used to be packaged in glass which I was super happy about from an environmental standpoint and now they've switched to plastic.

This is a really terrific shaving cream, and I don’t say this lightly. I’ve shaved for countless years and this is the best shaving cream I’ve found—a good bang for the bucks.

This stuff doesn't really lather, and provides very little lubrication. I used the whole jar up and then on my first shave with my old stuff I realized how much I've been roughing it this whole time. I used a safety razor, and this cream is so bad you'll actually cut yourself more often.

Smells like there's 99% alcohol in the jar. The residual smell isn't too appealing. Label looks like it was printed from a printer in the 90s. I would not recommend this product.
