Where can I find a replacement quick release plate after I lose the one that comes with the tripod?
Why is the description says " It Cannot be used as a monopod" ? but it clearly says in the picture that its possible. Please explain this
good for overhead shots?
Is there a tripod like this with the boom arm but with clasp legs? The screw ons are harder to work with on the go.

Sturdy and premium tripod

This tripod is quality and easy to use. The height adjustment is simple and it's very portable. Overall it's fantastic.

Very Solid and Versatile Tripod, But Not Very Light

This is what I was looking for in a camera tripod. It is very sturdy and adjustable. It can adjust to take horizontal photos near the ground or overhead shots from the max extension of the legs or eye level shots with the legs and center post extended. The ball swivel is large and locks solidly. It seems very well built and I expect it to last a very long time. The QR plate is small and can stay of the camera without getting in the way for handheld shots. The carrying bag is padded and good enough for my purposes. It is a little heavy and big for long distance backpacking but that's not what I bought it for. I wanted a sturdy, versatile tripod that I could carry on short hikes if needed but on longer hikes I just shoot handheld. It is also a little annoying that you can start to unscrew the head when you pan, but once you learn to avoid this it's OK.

Great tripod

I love this tripod. It is great and solid as a traditional tripod. It changes to a horizontal bar that lets me set my camera in some awkward positions. I have been able to extend it over a water feature (a fountain) in order to get a perspective of being in the water just above the surface. I have been ably to use it as a boom to swing my camera around small flowers or other macro subjects without the tripod legs getting in the way. Another great use for the tripod is DSLR scanning film negatives on a tight table. The head is easily replaced if you need another mount on it.I have not found a negative yet.

Sturdy and heavy

This tripod is a beast! It's really heavy, but I use it ondoors so the weight isn't an issue for me. It's super sturdy and I love that it can be used traditionally and with the arm out. It does smooth panaroma from the arm and from the tripod head itself. With the tilt on the arm you can get your camera into almost any position imaginable. The bubble levels are a nice touch. I don't use it as a monopod, but like the option if I ever go wild. But minus a star for the tripod head grips on the knobs, and knob positioning. The grips on the knobs slipped and came off after the first use. It's not a deal breaker but it is frustrating. The other frustrating thing is the positioning of the knob that tightens the camera to the tripod head. If you're trying to use it with the camera positioned in that groove of the ball head (like it shows in the main image on the product page), it hits against the base of the tripod head and you have to reposition it to get the camera off. It also stops the head from becoming completely level at that angle. I was hoping to use this with the camera at the end of the arm sitting up like that but it won't work for what I was hoping to do. It's fine enough to just use it as a traditional tripod at that angle, but I was hoping it would work more like the picture shows. It is excellent for overhead shots and flat lays, though, which is the best part about it.My only regret is not getting the 79" one. More height for the overhead shots would have been nice. However, the tripod head comes off and can be attached to a c-stand, so that's pretty cool!

Exceptional quality!

This is a great tripod for the price! I just got it and I'm pleasantly surprised! My current tripod is very old so this new functionality is really great. The instructions are tiny so I went to their website and downloaded the pdf. Once I ran through the instructions a couple times I got it. This is a little heavy but because it's very sturdy. The center ring/base is metal and solid. It has a hole you can hang a hook through for a counter weight and a 1/4" screw hole if you want to go that route. I plan on using it mostly for macro photography. I think this is going to do the job! The only thing I'm going to have to get use to is the quick release mount. The quick release mount could be designed a little better so you can't easily miss and dump your camera. But after looking at their website I can see that there are a number of different quick release mounts you can buy. I just ordered a "macro rail" and a nicer quick release. Lots of accessories. I'm sure going to enjoy this product.

Just a generally great tripod

This thing is pretty dope.If you want to take dynamic shots then you might want to get a rail/slider.This tripod can be used for some basic dynamic shots, however, it clearly is not built for dynamic shots; it is built for various angles and positions and it serves this purpose perfectly! The swivels are smooth both at the core as well as at the mount, but if you think you are going to use the arm like a slider then you're gonna be disappointed because the camera weight will create a bind and it will get choppy...those looking for a slider should just buy a slider. This is a great tripod with many possibilities for entry level shooting.

Great value for student use

Arrived well packed. Padded carry bag is definitely a step up from a lot of other products "included equipment" and ensures no shipping damage too. This tripod feels beefy enough to hold up to student use. It's not a professional grade item, but its light years better than a cheapo "made to hold your iphone" tripod. I wish the clamps used for telescoping the legs felt a tiny bit more robust, but the build quality seems good enough overall that I will trust that the clamps are engineered properly.Does everything it claims to do. No sharp edges, no sticky screws, nothing wiggles when it shouldn't.We'll see how it holds up over time, but my confidence is pretty high.

Precision engineering, rock solid!

Unlimited precision and adaptability! This tripod means business! Allows your creativity to venture into new ideas and angles. 5 stars… highly recommended!Only negative… a little on the heavy side, at nearly 4 pounds… but that is part of its sturdiness! Excellent performance and a great value!
