Hardly useful for guitar nut slots
First, the sizes for guitar strings, though there are lots of 'em, were not perfect; a compromise I accepted. The problem is there is basically NO file on any of the little metal sticks. They hardly do a thing. Were they made of stiffer stuff with REAL file surfaces, they'd have done the trick, making slots for strings in a bone guitar nut. But they weren't and they didn't. For that purpose I cannot recommend them in the least. For the price, well ...

Works like a charm
If all you need is to adjust the Slot heights, this is the right tool for it. The slots were pretty shallow on the Fender neck I bought for this Start I built (which I appreciate because it minimizes friction) and the strings were popping out when I bent the G or B strings a full step on the 2nd or 3rd fret, a slight (minimal) grind with the right gauge file from this set fixed it properly without increasing friction which with the Wilkinson trem and the locking tuners means high performance with tune stability.Unless you are cutting the nut from scratch you don't need expensive tools, this ones work just fine.

Did not meet expectations.
The finer the file, the less it works. The thick gauge files work ok on the thicker string slots, but the non-wound string slots will not be able to be filed down by this tool, or perhaps it will take all day to remove any material. I'm looking elsewhere.

Good idea, bad execution - avoid this one
These seemed like a great way to get nut files at a reasonable price but they are too flimsy and awkward to use. The abrasive texture is very mild and can’t cut. Finally, if you hold the metal base to pull the wire through a nut after a few pulls it comes off of its mount. Maybe with some improvements this could be a good product but as it is, the "tool” is a bit useless.

Glorified torch tip cleaner
I bought this as a torch tip cleaner because it was cheaper than ones marked as torch tip cleaners.I did however try to use it as a nut file and it works abysmally. You'd better off using a butter knife instead of this for nut slot filing

It works
Slowly, but it works. I suppose you don't really want to rush filing a nut because you can dig too deep and waste the piece.

Does the job slow but sure
It is what it is if you know what your doing they work just fine, don't expect a heavy duty set, but if you're working on a guitar nut you don't need or want one. Does the job.

Worked well for what it’s intended
I needed to smooth out the slots on a bone nut and file them to the correct size. I put a caliper on the files and they are all correct. It worked well for what I needed it for
