Great fit for me , quality light weight saddle.

This is my second Ergon SR Road Pro saddle and it replaces one that lasted me 5 solid years and 25,000+ hassle-free miles.Its predecessor was a litany of saddles from Fizik and Specialized which, while comfortable and minimalist, suffered from durability issues. Saddle rails, in particular, would fail after just a season or two - not ideal - and the shells would deform and crack if the rails didn't. It was a far-too-frequent replacement expense.The Ergon is equal to the others in comfort but the durability is the key: these things LAST. The rails are not heavy but they're well crafted. The shell is a bit more built up than others' offerings but has reinforcements in areas where others fail (especially around the nose and near where the saddle begins to flare wide, where most leg articulation takes place). The rails also have a slightly matte finish which means they stay put on the seatpost without a ton of torque - that's essential to keep the rails intact.The saddle itself is quite firm - but that's not only the norm for a high performance cycling saddle but it's the recipe for comfort in the long run. Soft saddles sag over time and end up putting more pressure on sensitive backside areas - neither fun nor sustainable. Firm is better, though it takes time to get used to such things in a saddle. But I've done multiple 120+ mile days on my Ergon saddle over the years and it's always comfortable, start to finish.My only complaints are super minor. The aforementioned matte finish on the rails will flake off over time (the metal underneath is polished so might need some grip paste to stay put in a seatpost clamp without over-torque pressure). The plastic shell *will* fail after many years of heavy use, but that's the case with any saddle. And it's heavier than the competition at this price point. Also: only available in black, which is universally fashionable but b-o-r-i-n-g.But the saddles are built for stout and simply work. It's just a few grams - those are more easily shed from the body than the bike, and contact points on a bike need to be comfortable for a bike to be a fun place to spend your days.

Per me la miglior sella mai usata, mai avuto il minimo problema neanche dopo una giornata di 7 ore in sella. Ovviamente bisogna abituarsi, non si parte in primavera con un'uscita di 7 ore senza essere saliti in sella per tutto l'inverno... Basta misurare la larghezza delle ossa e scegliere la larghezza giusta.

Es gibt nichts Schlimmeres als ein schmerzendes Hinterteil beim Radfahren. Daher ist es unabdinglich, einen zum entsprechenden Gesäß passenden Sattel zu haben und diesen ausgiebig zu testen.Im Mountainbike-Bereich fällt mir die Auswahl häufig vergleichsweise leicht, da durch die stetige Änderung der Sitzposition eher weniger Schmerzen auftreten. Im Rennradbereich habe ich allerdings seit langer Zeit das Problem, dass Fahrten von 3h und mehr zu z.T. extremen Schmerzen führen. Daher habe ich am Rennrad auch schon mehrere Sättel ausprobiert, die aber alle keine endgültige Lösung darstellten.Mit dem Ergon SR Pro hat sich dieses Problem nun aber endlich erledigt. Der Sattel passt perfekt zu meinem Hintern und ich habe innerhalb von 2 Wochen 1800 km darauf abgespult. Schmerzen hatte ich keine, wund war nichts. Natürlich habe ich zusätzlich ein (hochwertiges) Sitzpolster angehabt.Insbesondere der Dammbereich wird durch die sinnvoll platzierten Aussparungen entlastet. Zudem kann man den Sattel minimal mit der Spitze Richtung Boden ausrichten, da durch die muldenartige Form nach hinten heraus, auf diese Weise dennoch kein Abrutschen nach vorne auftritt. Mir kommt diese minimale Anpassung sehr zu Gute.Die Verarbeitung des Sattels ist tadellos, auch nach dem Intensivtest sieht er aus wie am ersten Tag.Im Vergleich zu anderen ergonomischen Sätteln (SQ-Lab o.Ä.) ist der Sattel eher etwas schwer, allerdings nehme ich die wenigen Zusatzgramm gerne in Kauf, da mein Hintern nun Ruhe gibt.Es gib den Sattel auch mit Carbonschienen, allerdings sind diese oval und erfordern einen Zusatzadapter. Diesen wollte ich nicht auch noch kaufen.Ansonsten ist der Sattel völlig intuitiv zu installieren. Wie andere Sattel auch, hat er Markierungen auf den Schienen, um die Position in der Horizontalen einzustellen.Für mich hat sich der vergleichsweise hohe Preis gelohnt, ich werde auf lange Sicht keinen anderen Sattel am Rennrad verbauen.Daher gebe ich guten Gewissens volle 5 Sterne und empfehle den Sattel vollumfänglich weiter. Natürlich ist diese Meinung sehr subjektiv und jeder muss den Sattel selber testen.

I use this saddle on my road/gravel bike. For context, I’d start to get pain around 20-30 miles with my old saddle and would have to stand up on the bike to alleviate the pain.My first ride with this saddle was 60 miles and I had zero perineum pain! The cutout really works and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone experiencing similar troubles.
