I'm a nail biter, have been for decades. One graze of my thumb past a rough edge or corner, and out come the clippers and teeth. Emory boards have somewhat helped but get used up way too fast, scrape up my skin, and leave the nails rough enough to snag.This glass file is sublime. There's no grating feeling, and no rough edges left; where it brushes my skin by the corners it doesn't hurt at all. I'm not buffing the back of my nails, they're soft and shreddy anyway and don't need to be worn down further, but the ends and corners come out so smooth that the urge to gnaw is almost completely gone. They even gleam and sparkle! Follow up with a nail/cuticle cream and my fingertips feel better than they have in years.The quality is amazing. This file has enough heft and thickness to feel sturdy and luxurious (though I'm very careful not to drop it). The soft plastic case for it keeps it comfortably safe. The only down side is that after each session one needs to rinse off the file and then let it air dry before returning it to the case, so I can't keep it by my computer. Probably a good thing, it creates quite the skiff of dust from ground up nail, likely unhealthy for a keyboard.I did not hesitate to recommend this to my brother for his wife when asked, I do not hesitate to recommend it to you. Best. File. Ever.

These little files are amazing.They make your nail smooth and work better than emery boards.

Filing is very good but the shining needs work the scratches will show after a few days it’s less visible.

I have used these files for my nails and they do an impressive job. They are easy to use and clean (under running water) and quite frankly, they are impressive looking.

I build gunpla, and these absolutely demolish nubs without leaving scuff marks or a mess to clean (if used properly). This works great, especially at this price point when more specialized files cost upwards of 25$ each. However, I highly recommend wet sanding to prevent dust accumulation in the file's grooves and air.

I very seldom write reviews but, just had to for these. If you ever file your nails you need these. They are so effective. Leave a high gloss, remove ridges and shape quickly. Order these. You won't be sorry! I also ordered the longer one in stainless case for my purse.

The glass nail files do work. But the caveat is the pair I received just don’t work well. They scratch my nails and don’t buffer them all the way leaving some parts not as shiny as the rest.Another usage I use them for is Gunpla, in which they also scratch the plastic of the kits I build. It’s either you have to be really careful or the glass nail files I received are just defective.

Theses are very handy. They are good for doing your nails, but also if you get super glue on your fingers. Gently buffing it off.
