Excellent for No Flush. I take 1-2 daily. I will know how well it is workin when I have my next blood test. I've opted to try alternatives rather then Statin drugs. My next test will tell

I have been taking a different brand of non-flushing niacin (Slo Niacin) for a long time, but dreaded the flushing which would happen frequently despite its claim of being non flushing. If you have never had the *flushing* experience, it is not always pleasant and most times not pleasant at all. I take it at the recommendation of my doctor to raise my HDL levels. But the other brand was just too unpredictable and I've tried taking it before breakfast, with breakfast and at night after dinner. What was even worse, sometimes the flushing would happen within 20 minutes or up to 2 hours later. I could never tell. Sometimes I had to explain it to other people who would comment on my appearance. But with ENDUR-ACIN Niacin I am not getting any flushing. Now the next step is an upcoming blood test to see where the HDL level is. If it is as good as the previous slo niacin, I'll revisit this review and revise my rating to 5 Stars. If it doesn't make a difference in my HDL level, I'll stop taking it and look for something else. But truthfully, I expect it to improve my HDL levels given I am more likely to take it since I've had no flushing reaction. I can't imagine it not working really.

Like a previous poster stated, I too was on prescription Niaspan which went from $80 for a 3 month supply to $400 for a 3 month supply. That's when I started looking for an alternative. I just received the results of my blood work and was very happy to see my total cholesterol went down after using this product instead of Niaspan for less than 3 months. Can't wait to see the results next year after taking Endur-Acin for a year. And NO side effects for me. I would get occasional flushing with the Niaspan, but nothing at all with this product. So nice to save money and get good health results!! Drug companies need to be investigated for ripping off patients!!!!!

The slow release seems to help with limiting that flush and hot skin feeling that a regular release can have.

Didn't see any change, really. Not sure it worked. I think you need the "flush" even though it's a pain and kind of scary for an hour or so.

I like this niacin. It works and I take it with applesauce and haven’t experienced any side effects . Good product.
