Love this system! A few plants required height adjustments for the water supply but after that I was able to leave for a month and just had a friend check in once to refill some of the smaller decorative water bottles. I had fun finding decorative glass bottles at thrift stores. I have over 30 plants in various parts of the house. I also LOVE that all I have to do is fill the water bottles occasionally, no need to track various watering schedules. This is great because I do not have a green thumb and am plant sitting a lot of my daughters plants while she is out of the country.

I needed an automatic watering solution for my upcoming 2 week trip. I have two small citrus trees in planters on my patio. These were costly plants, and I knew they would die w/o watering for 2 weeks in my windy, desert environment. I tried some homemade waterers (bottles with holes), but those drained too quickly.With my trip fast approaching, I ordered these larger stakes. I followed the instructions carefully and filled a large 5 gallon Home Depot bucket with water, inserted the tubes, and placed it right by the plants. After studying the flow for a day, I adjusted the planters to be a couple of inches lower than the bucket so the flow would be better. I put strong foil over the top of the bucket of water to keep out insects and debris.Two weeks later, arriving home, I found the citrus trees were flowering and doing so well - in fact, with better results than my hand watering had been! It has been over 4 weeks now, and I'm still using the watering stakes exclusively for these planters.I highly recommend these stakes. Tip: Don't go running off w/o taking time to set it up correctly, study the flow, and adjust, if needed.

Work very well. The instructions do not mention priming the siphon, so it may not be necessary, but we have been doing so. However, they work excellently! Have purchased additional ones for other house plants :)

These work as advertised. It’s important to have a large enough container of water and it took some experimenting to determine how high up the container needs to be placed. If the container is higher, the plant gets more water and if lower, less water. You may need to add a small stand to elevate the water container above the level of the plant if it gets too dry. Otherwise, this is great to keep the plant properly hydrated and healthy for an extended period of time.

I use these for all size plants and they work great. It took a little time to figure out how many stakes and how large a water reservoir to use for each plant, but it is so worth the effort. I no longer worry about leaving plants unattended when visiting grandkids. Occasionally I have to re-soak a stake, but that's not a big deal - I just make sure to monitor them.

These seem to work well at first, but once the roots engulf them, I notice my pots start drying out. I have also had to take out and resoak and prime to make sure water is in cap. My final thought is maybe these are good earlier in or in plants that aren’t aggressive feeders. They have a place but they let my pots get too dry in flower, would continue to use in house plants or early in veg

Love these little water feeders just hate you have to have a big bottle for the water. I use them outside. Are a little expensive for me but they work so to me it’s worth it.

After receiving these, I was very excited for the set up where I would be watering the reservoir(s) and individual plants could suck up as much water as desired. So, I read the questions and answers section and checked the reviews for helpful tips and read the instructions and got to work. I soaked these for way longer than recommended—overnight—just to be sure they were thoroughly soaked. I made sure the little tubes were primed with water before I got all bubbles out of the ceramic piece and the lid with the tube and I put the lid on while the whole thing was under water, bubble-free, primed. Then I took a large chopping knife and stabbed straight down into the soil and made myself a little cone-shaped hole right next to my most water-demanding geranium, and made sure the clay part was completely under the soil, and there was a full half-gallon jar of water on the shelf above the plant with the little tube at the very bottom of the jar, AND, nothing happened. The plant was not watered, or even moistened a little bit, and the end of the tube was under the water the whole time, and the half-gallon jar of water that the end of the tubing was in was on a shelf above the plant, so it should have gotten more water. I did everything else as was advised by people who have had success with these, and the advice of the instructions, aaaand, nothing. These do nothing as far as I can tell with my experience with them. They have mass and take up space and the water in the reservoir just slowly evaporates as your plant dries out and you have to continue hand watering each plant. These seem like a great idea and I’m going to try again to make them work but so far, they have done nothing but eat up my money and have mass and occupy space, they are matter after all. And so far they do not waters plants. Will provide an update if I get these things to work, but for now, I’m going to regret not returning them sooner.
