For the most part, this does a good job. I got this mainly for riding my bike to work in the rain. One problem is that my pack is generally heavy and the tightened drawstring doesn't hold up well to the weight. I find that I have to tie a knot in the string to keep the plastic bit in place, which then becomes tightened and can be difficult to undo. Also since there is no strap protection, the back panel can begin to get wet sometimes.

This backpack cover is okay - it certainly keeps my backpack dry. The only thing I don't like about it is that if you cinch it tightly, it restricts your backpack straps, and when you put on the backpack it can loosen the cinch and begin to slip off around the top. It's a design flaw, but I'm not sure how it could be better designed unless you could somehow put your straps through it. Oh well - it keeps my backpack mostly dry, which is what I needed it for!

A great backpack cover at a really good price. Ordered for my wifes'new backpack and will order larger size for my new one.
