I cut them to fit around a tube. They hold there shape, they don’t shred.

Average quality gauze pads from China
These are on the thin side, but are typical quality for generic gauze pads. Nothing particularly good or bad about them. The packets seem to be well sealed. Hopefully they are really sterile, but I don't have the laboratory facility to check for that.
