Good Value
After five years, it was time to replace the original pads in my patio evaporative coolers. I haven't installed them yet, but they should function well.

OK, if you do not use calcium inhibitor in line--you will have to buy these ;o(
YouTube has a tutorial on how to replace the filters...Just need to know the model # of your cooler.

Comes with all you need to replace
Very positive surprise the filter that comes with all you need to replace an old one. Fit is perfect and I replaced my old filter after about five years and a new one makes a major difference in cooling.

Not a perfect fit for our older unit
FIRST, yes they work. But with some caveats. For example, the box has directions showing you how to open the unit for the purpose of replacing these filters. Apparently our unit was not made to match the directions. So the screws that are shown in the picture on the box do not exist in the place identified. Another example is that the filter as supplied causes the float valve to malfunction which causes the unit to pour water out on the floor. We were able to remedy this once we figured out what happened, it would've been nice to know this in advance. It's not the easiest nor the most difficult to install, and you can do it if you are patient

Does what's it supposed to do & holds up nicely thru the swamp cooler summer season
If you own a Hessaire then you know you need this for your cooler to work. These thick media pads are the reason you receive cool air when the swamp cooler is operating. They can & do last a full summer season & they keep their shape inside the unit.

Fit My Old Portacool PAC2K163S
The media could not be loaded. These filters are awesome!I have a very old Portacooler that I can't even find information on. Well, the filters o did find that might fit My unit where $400 and I way going to spend that kind of money on something that might fit.So I got these Hessaire for $70 and figured I could cut them to fit and I was right! Ready to cut, fit and worked perfectly!Now my Portacooler works like it's brand new!Thanks Hessaire!I can highly them!

The quality of hessair products is excellent. I love their evaporative coolers and media like this. Fit is perfect, and cooling results are spectacular out here in the SoCal desert where I live.
