Large Percent Error in Indication
I bought two of the Celsius scale thermometers. Even though they serve my general purpose they are highly inaccurate. One has a 12% error and the other has a 9% error. This is much too wide for distillation processes. If you are distilling substances with bp’s that close, you may have a challenge drawing a distillation curve.

Work great
You cannot really write a negative review of this product as an everyday human. I bought 2 and used them for Meteorology labs in college. These are glass; if you drop one it will break.

Markings misprinted. Measurement is over 15c off the mark.
I filled a 1000ml glass test tube and tested with the thermometer( the one I received is a full imersion) and checked it with a digital one I use that's NIST (but much smaller), and it was roughly 15c off, which given its purpose, makes it unrelable at best.The glass is also missprinted with some measurements missing, with the end scale for printed as 150 c but is advertised as 160c. Not worth the money.

H-B Durac Lab Thermometer 0-300F - Arrived in 1 piece!
This thermometer was triple packed for safe arrival. There was; the box and bubble packing, then the thermometer and more packing, then the hard diamond shaped sheath protecting the thermometer. Mine was the partial immersion version and has measure a couple random things accurately like my body temp, boiling water, and the temp outside. I will be using this for some Labwork with my organic chemistry set. Things like distilling essential oils and some other fractionations this next season. I was worried it wouldn't arrive intact but currently it was the best the seller could achieve. Today is 01/11/2003. I would have given the accuracy 5 stars if the NIST certification was in the box.

Very cool

No loop at the top so it doesn’t break easily :)
I’m a teacher and my kids keep breaking the thermometers. I bought this as a replacement and one thing I love is there isn’t a loop at the top like a lot of liquid thermometers have. The loop sticks out and that’s what keeps breaking and letting air bubbles in. This replacement one has outlasted a lot of other ones so that’s a win in my book!
