Excellent book for A-level students

Lots of diagrams to depict and explain ideas given for learners! Also, it offers some examples for them to practice. If you're looking for a biology textbook, this book is the best choice!

Great Condition

I used this book in A-Level and Teacher's College. Its so amazing. Many diagrams, in depth content. I suspect i will be using it when I go to university. It has information from all biological sciences. zoology, botany, microbiology, biochemistry, everything. It is the GREAT BIG BOOK OF EVERYTHING biological that is.P.S. It really does fall apart cuz of its size. I statrted to see some evidence of that along its spine. So now I am very careful with the spine when I open the book. Also, I put some clear tape on the spine and I store the book in a Virgin Atlantic goody bag (a drawstring plastic baggy) and I like to think that I have preserved its life. I've had it for 5 years now and its still holding on quite nicely.

I used this book for my A'level exams, it was such a helpful and informative book. Even now, I still find it very useful; which as we all know is not typical for most texts.I recently bought a new copy & put the old one to REST. Yes! Because this book is sooooo big - EXPECT IT TO FALL APART!

I first encountered this book when I was studying for a course in Biology, it proved to be the biologists companion to me. I found that the information in this book was complete and covered a wide range of subjects. The language usage is not to complex so as to allow biologists of all standards be able to comprehend what was acutally being said. The presentation of the text was adaquate with plenty of pictures and examples to back up the the information presented. This book helped me to complete a two year course in advanced biology providing me with information and answers to various questions that I asked of it.I recommend this book to all dedicated biologists as this resource will prove invaluable to you.

This was a "used" book however the picture didn't tell the true story of how used it was. No back binding, owner's name written on pages, notes written throughout book and some pages were dog-eared. The only good thing was the cover.
