Idahoan Buttery Instant Mash Potato 1 x 109g single pack, Potatoes, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Cooks in 1 minute

Tastes just like fresh mashed potato, better than any instant potato I have ever tried. Very easy to make but I use a little less water than recommended as it tends to be sloppy otherwise. It is pricey but for convenience and taste I will continue buying. I try and stock up when it's on offer. It makes two large or three smaller portions, I don't feel it would serve more than that really. Also great to sprinkle a spoon or two of the powder into home made soup as a thickener.

I tried these, no 2 ways about it, they are the best on the market at the moment, closest thing to home made mash. At first i thought, shame they are so expensive, but then i compared, i cant obviously mention other brands, but a well known mash in round red pot, that used to be fairly affordable, and probably the countries no1 in the past. Their original size was normally 280grams in a box sold for about 3 pound 60p ish, hold on i thought (that is roughly 1.28 per 100g), these packs are 109 grams for one pound, that works out as 91p per 100g, like for like if you was to buy this in 280g for illustration, you save 1 pound 3pence ish for the same quantity, i was fooled or silly thinking i suppose haha, oh one bag so expensive. (well i think the bigger other brands now realised and trying to make boxes slightly bigger) Well this is still more tastier than any other brands, no 2 ways about it. We all trying to make the money last, i dont know if this is ethical to share in a review, i suppose okay as no brands mentioned. But what i did, to try to stretch this, as the flavour is superior. I found a very cheap brand, even here on Amazon i think, but any cheap powdered equivalent, i found some for 60p or something i think it was, i got massive jars in the kitchen where i store, pasta cornflakes etc etc. So what i did, i mix the cheap one up, as in poored the cheaper dry powder and 1-2 of these bags dry powder, shaked and then my own dry mash mix ready for cooking whenever, still got the same flavour and really not much difference, better than the other brand previously mentioned to be honest. And i used to like that brand, mix a cheaper powder with this 50/50, or even 60% cheap and 40% of this, no one will notice the difference, you made a huge savings and got a big tasty pot to make many portions with haha. Well my daughter didnt notice the difference and nor did i. If you havent tried this yet, dont be fooled by the bag, as its not more expensive when you think about it haha, even if it feels like it haha. And the flavour is superior, i tried all of them, i think its 3 different flavours, you can even mix them all up haha. It works together. Well i thought it was tasty, and quick.

Tastes fine, but I found I had to add more water to get the consistency I liked. Not a family size pack by any means and does work out relatively expensive. However, you're not having to spend time peeling and cooking your humble spud, so time and energy saved there. A useful product to keep in the cupboard and helps make a meal when you're too tired/just can't be bothered to cook with a potato!

the best instant mash bar non. A while back i tried a cheap instant for sentimental reasons, memories of a child taken camping with parents. it was awful lol. So i searched for alternatives and this was recommended and it delivers. no weird taste or after taste, mixes easily and no lumps.

This is superb, even have the office girls on it. Easy to make.tasts amazing. Not powdery. Its a mind blow how good it is

Does not take synthetic at all - it was delicious and it does not become that awful gloppy texture like other brands

As a single person I wasn't impressed with the instructions for using less than the whole packet.
