These sturdy and attractive rubber mats are staying in place on our deck stairs, making them safer.
I purchased these for the wood steps that descend from our deck to our yard as they were sometimes slippery when wet. These appealed to me because of their pattern, which I consider a bit modern. These mats are heavy and sturdy and have stayed in place since I placed them on our outdoor stairs. They are not as thick as a doormat, but that is good on the stairs so there will be no tripping on them while going up the stairs. The design is flat, so you are assured a steady step every time. They are just perfect. There was a strong rubber scent when I opened the boxes, but that was not an issue since I was placing them outside. These mats look fabulous and are working really well for my dog and my husband and I. Highly recommend these stair treads.

Great Stair Treads - Functional and Beautiful
We tried the outdoor carpet treads and those did not hold up, faded over time, and it seemed like the wood was always wet underneath them. These rubber treads are a great alternative that allows the wood underneath to dry out better and they look great. Would definitely buy again.

Looks great!
I'm using them on my front exterior painted wood stairs. They are solving the problem that the wood wasn't entirely dried and some sap is oozing. They look great. They are somewhat rigid and slighly slick (almost oily?) but not slippery to walk on. Because I used sanded paint on the stairs, they seem to be gripping and staying in place well. One concern is that the holes will collect dust, dirt and debris over time so I'm weighing attaching them permanently versus ease of cleaning...As a recycled rubber product, though, I am wondering if they'll disintegrate if I wind up moving them around for cleaning. I have had a couple of welcome mats that, after their time in the sun, just fell apart when moved. Seems like the same type of product as these. But you cannot beat the price--especially compared with the adhesive no-slip strips

Provides desired safety.
Not sure why Adhesion is a rate feature. These mats do not have any adhesion but do stay in play fairly well. You will need to reposition occasionally. I chose to secure directly to exterior wood step using roofing nails, as it has a wide flat head. I colored the nail heads with black marker so that it blends in, hardly visible. The stairs look great and much safer.

Great for outdoor ramp
We used 18 of these mats on our entry ramp so that our old dog could get good traction coming up the ramp into the house. They are absolutely wonderful, it has made it so much easier for her to grip; previously she'd kind of have to run to keep from slipping, and running is not her strong suit anymore. now she walks up the ramp super easy. They initially have a rubber odor (as expected since they are rubber) but since these are outdoors it didn't matter, and the odor was gone after a few days or week. since they are on a slope, we did put 3 screws in them to hold them in place; since they are rubber screwing them down was super simple.

Stop slipping on wooden steps
We have a wooden ramp leading to our door and when the wood gets wet it gets slippery. These treads work great at preventing slipping. We nailed them down at the top and they stay in place. They look nice too!

Very durable
I was just walking up my back stairs and thinking how great these treads have held up over time, so I thought I’d post a review. I needed quite a few, so they weren’t cheap, but they’ve been installed for over three years and still do the job. They keep people and dogs from slipping on wooden deck stairs, and look nice as well. I did tack them down in several places with small nails, and that’s worked well to keep them in place.

Do not stay in place
I bought these for my dog who is afraid of going up stairs. I cleaned and dried the stairs before putting the treads down, but as soon as my dog put her paw on the first one it moved, in fact she swiped it off the stair as she went to go up.It may stay in place for a small dog (?) but for us and our medium - large dogs, they just slipped all over the place. More dangerous than just having the timber stairs on their own. Need to find another solution.

They don't slip out of place
We live in cold winter climate and our painted stairs get quite slippery when it's cold and we also repaint them almost every year due to climate and wear (just the stairs). We didn't want to nail or stick treads on as that creates other problems. These worked perfectly for winter slip/slid. Hoping that they will also serve to decrease our re painting to every two years. They do have a strong rubber smell, but we were using for outdoors so no issue.

Great solution to my end my dog falling down the stairs!
Gave these stair treads 4 stars. Would have warranted 5 stars but for the expensive cost and smell. Had an indoor problem with my small dog falling down the stairs and then refusing to go up or down the stairs and crying until I carried her. These are great! Look awesome indoors. They are just a tiny bit wider than my stair tread but I dont even mind. Ordered two more sets to complete the stairs and also the matching door mats. Is a much lower cost alternative than hiring a carpet company to custom install stair treads at a cost of thousands. So, for around $250 I covered 13 stairs and two landings. Stairs were very dangerous and slippery even for myself. Good purchase. They smell awful but I am sure that will pass. Definitely pricey but worth it for my application.

Great Product
We use them on the stairs to go the hot tub. Great product, they are heavy enough so they don’t move and provide a solid footing even when they are wet.
