Family Handyman

Popular Mechanics magazine was the "go to" magazine for many decades for people that were handy. Unfortunately in recent times they revamped their style and don't really build or fix anything anymore. The Family Handyman magazine replaces them and actually improves on them. There is no opinion or politics, just good old articles, hints and tricks about working with your hands on all kinds of stuff. If you like to make things better, this is the magazine for you!

A great little magazine for simple DIY projects. Very detailed and even goes over supplies needed.

Very good information, but there a lot of adds. Needs to have more info.

Great magazine for the DIY’ers

I love this magazine!! It has been around for decades and has a lot of fun to learn projects and ideas. Any handyman would like to get this subscription!

So full of ads that they should be paying you to take it. Most projects skip over the details and just hit the major steps. Good for ideas but need to look at someone else’s YouTube videos for the specific details. The winter and summer double issues that consume 2 of your paid issues are the equivalent of an actual decent magazine.

Ordered a one year subscription and only received 3 issues across the year.. on my 3rd issue I received a note saying my subscription ended in 15 days.. I actually enjoyed the magazine and most of the ads were of interesting products, so I did not mind them.. but only getting 3 issues is unacceptable.

The magazines have some good info. Delivery was a problem. Sometimes 6 weeks would pass and I would get a 2 month old issue. Then a week later I received the previous month plus the current issue. The publisher has to fix this!
