My initial problem with my switch is that the internal battery wouldn't charge, if It did it would drain within minutes. Every 15 to 20 seconds it would drop a percent just on the home screen, if in a game the battery drain was much greater. This replacement battery kit was really easy to use and since changing the battery it will hold a charge while playing games for around 2hours from what I can tell, I haven't let it fully drain to 0% so this is just an estimate but regardless this makes me very satisfied.

Item was packaged very nicely and the tools and pieces were easy to access and use. The directions included were decent and I had no issue with the tools. The screws are tiny and you have to make sure you press firmly down on the tool as you are unscrewing. If you do this you will have no problems. I can't really comment on battery life yet, as I have not had it long enough to say. Overall, I was very please with the product.

Need experience handling fragile electronics. Take your time and go slowly and should have mo problems. Restored ability to run on battery.

Battery was easy to i stall but didnt last long. A month after install it would not hold a charge.

Gives extended life to Switch in general, but don't expect longer battery life per session. Can still drain pretty quickly under 15%. First model Switch still only gets 3+ hours of battery life.

Only costs a few bucks more than competing kits, but you get better tools, foam padding, and double-sided 3M-brand tape already applied to the battery and ready to go.I had to replace the battery on my launch day Switch due to swelling. This worked perfectly. It even had 80% charge out of the box.Take your time and everything should work well. The hardest part was removing the old battery due to the adhesive, but I chose to pry it off. If I had used 99% rubbing alcohol to dissolve it first, it would've been a lot easier.

Bought this for my child's launch day Switch. The battery is worth the price but the tools are a disaster! They don't grip well and THEY WILL cause stripping to the head of the screws. Definitely recommend a different set of tools for them.

What can I say, this battery wasted my time. Actually, TWO batteries wasted my time. I've had to take my Switch apart 3 times trying to get these to work. Don't get me wrong, the kit is nice, and the battery looks good. However, the first one I installed caused my switch to give battery errors and randomly shut down. Even after I tried "calibrating" my switch wouldn't even last 5 minutes before hard locking or shutting down.So I disassembled my Switch, removed the battery and exchanged it for ANOTHER one. This one was even worse, the hard locks and random shutdowns were more frequent with the screen displaying solid pink sometimes.So, I disassembled my switch, AGAIN, and returned the 2nd new battery.Bought myself an iFixit battery and my Switch works like new.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS KIT
