Malfunctioned after 10 months / Resolved fast by manufacturer!

Worked fine when first purchased. Quick and easy to analyze mix. Used on two dive trips then put away for 6 months with batteries removed. Then it would not calibrate to 20.9% . Used new batteries still not working properly. I think the sensor may have died.Contacted manufacturer through their website e mail. Sarah got back to me within one day with a recommendation to fix issue. When that didn't work she immediately arranged for a replacement unit, which I received within a week. A good product but even better : Great customer service!!

Price is good.......but it has to work properly if your life is on the line.

I so wanted this meter to work since it is fairly inexpensive and comes with a nice case but I think the sensor was bad and I can't trust it. I received the meter and the batteries were dead as many of the other reviews have noted. I can't believe they haven't fixed this simple flaw yet! I put 3 fresh AAA batteries in and turned it on and calibrated as directed. The reading was 21.4% before I calibrated and 21.4% after I calibrated (should be closer to 20.9%). I had a feeling there was something wrong with the meter. I contacted Forensics technical support via email and got no response after 4 days. Fortunately I took it over to a local dive shop and tried it on a tank of nitrox with a known oxygen content of 32%. Put the meter on and waited about 20-25 seconds before the read out moved. It went up to about 26% but no further. The shop worker's meter only took about 5 seconds to register ~ 32%. I sent it back and purchased a different brand before I went diving.

Analyzer worked great for almost 2 years

The O2 Analyzer works great. It is easy to use and the way it passes air over the sensor is far simpler than any other analyzer that I've ever used. Just shy of 2 years the analyzer starting giving clearly erroneous measurements. I contacted Forensics and returned the device to them, apparently the sensor had failed, even though it was out of warranty they sent me a new unit. Couldn't be happier.

Good analyzer, poor case design

For the money this analyzer is excellent. The case however is a poor design and has been well documented in several reviews. I read the reviews before purchasing and expected the same issue before I made the purchase. I followed the recommendation in the reviews to remove the center section of the foam in the case to take the pressure off of the buttons in order to prevent the unit from turning on. You would think that the manufacturer would correct this design flaw.If you remove the center section of the foam and place the unit face down, it will resolve this issue. If you purchase, make sure you have AAA batteries on hand before it arrives. Odds are you'll have to replace them when you first unpackage the unit.

Dangerous for enriched air (nitrox) divers

Divers, the unit I received was off by 3 to 4 %.I used it to check a tank, which had been ordered to be filled to EAN32.I turned on the analyzer, calibrated it, and gave it plenty of time to analyze and stabilize the reading. It read the tank at 29.1. Turn it on and off, recalibrated, and read it again. Same result. Then I analyzed the same tank with two other analyzers from different manufacturers. Both read 33.0.That is a huge difference when calculating maximum safe depth and repetitive dive limits. From a safety perspective, the problem with the low reading low is narcosis risk when exceeding the safe depth. For repetitive dive limits, an erroneously low reading does not give you the full advantage of the nitrox blend you are using. My bigger concern, of course, is safety, and I see that this analyzer doesn't provide the accurate information I need to help me stay safe.Fortunately, I tested the analyzer soon after purchasing, so I am able to return it for a refund.
