I purchased this bookcase to help tidy up and organize my office (which is on our 2nd floor). When we received the bookcase, it had written on it, "caution, extremely heavy" and boy was it actually REALLY heavy! It weighed over 120lbs. My poor husband ended up carrying this box up our stairs into our 2nd floor office, I was basically useless as it was too heavy for me even to help him! I am so impressed at the weight of this bookcase! I chose this particular bookcase because I appreciated that it was a bit wider than most average bookcases and a little shorter. I wanted these features because the bookcase does sit on carpet and I didn't want it to topple forward. That being said, it did come with hardware to fasten it to the wall to secure it. It took my husband a little over an hour to assemble this book shelf. It is a very nice bookshelf and is very sturdy! I am a little disappointed that even the tallest shelf does not actually allow for a binder to stand up straight, without tilting it to the side slightly. I was trying to utilize the shelves to store my school books and binders. I am so pleased with the appearance and sturdiness of the shelf! I would absolutely purchase it again! Now I just need to find ways to organize papers on the shelves. Very happy with the bookcase!

The media could not be loaded. I like it, took an hour and a half to assemble it. Feels sturdy so far. The drawer's width "feels" smaller but it's whatever. The closets are awesome and quite helpful. Considering it's only 31.5 in length, I'm thinking of buying another to make it ~60+ width bookshelf. We'll see.

Overall it is a good product - very heavy and sturdy for being fabricated wood. It looks classy and well made when put together. We’ll see how well the “wood” veneer holds up.All pieces come labeled and we were missing the “L” board and could not finish assembling. The seller responded quickly and shipped us the missing piece, which took a couple weeks to arrive.Our only complaint is that some of the shelves are scratched and on one, there are several spots that looked like someone had tried to cover them up with a brown Sharpie. Even the missing piece that shipped alone has a chip out of it. It arrived well packaged in several layers of bubble wrap so it clearly left the manufacturer that way. A bit disappointing.

I put this together myself, so assembly is easy if you can follow directions. I just love looking at this bookcase! It holds plenty of books and knick knacks, has interesting asymmetrical shelves, and is a beautiful color. Plus it was $10 cheaper than buying it on Walmart’s website. I’m 100% pleased with my purchase!

Love it. It took me quite a while to assemble it, but I have no carpentry skills, just common sense, and I was able to do it with just a few minor screw-ups before I got it right. The video in the product description on Amazon is very helpful--easier to follow than the written instructions. We had problems (yes, multiple problems) with FedEx delivering the package to the wrong house--they really should require a signature for a package that weighs 115 lbs--but the vendor was really helpful in sorting things out.

Its nice thick wood. Very heavy. The back of the unit is wood too instead of cardboard like most shelving units. The only down side is the hinges its very easy to strip it to the point of it not staying together anymore. That being said i would 100% but this unit again and honestly if i had the room i would of already got a second one

It’s not bad considering the cost but far from perfect. One of our shelves came with a large scratch on it so that’s annoying and it’s not the sturdiest shelf either but it is what it is.

I really really really wanted to like this, I ended up requesting a refund ( let’s see how that goes). I put it all together which took me about 4 hours, even leveling it,attaching it to the wall as advised, it is unreasonably “wobbly” I wouldn’t get this if you have small children or even pets. It’s really heavy so I have no trust the little plastic and nails it gives to secure it to the wall would hold. I was extremely disappointed because I wanted to love it so much! I believe the sellers can do better in making sure they sell a safe product or advising before purchased..
