Solidly made but unfortunately didn’t fit either my rotary tools. Basically do your research before you buy and get right size.

Items arrived as described and within the anticipated delivery times.I had a couple of cordless Parkside (Lidl own brand) rotary tools that I'd bought over the years which I found useful, although I'd broken the restraining pin on one of them an over-enthusiastic tightening of the original collet chuck with the supplied spanner. And although it wasn't a great hardship to change bits, having to find the spanner (and in the case of the broken one, something to also use as a restraining pin) in order to change bits was a bit of a pain. I was given a Dremel equivalent as a gift, and decided to take a punt at this keyless chuck so that I could change the bits with my hands and didn't need to depend on the spanner. Based on an admittedly rather early appraisal, these keyless chucks will make using the rotary tools I have a far easier experience: I just wish I'd bought them a long time ago!They appear to be made of metal, grip well and make a bit change so much easier and as they are tightened onto the head of the rotary tool spindle the teeth of the chuck gradually close. How well they centre the bit whilst in use is of relatively little concern for me as I mostly use the rotary tools for polishing and grinding, but if you're going to use them for drilling precision holes (e.g. PCB creation or model making) then it might be a different proposition: given the 35000rpm top speed of most rotary tools, checking to make sure the bit is centred in the chuck before use and starting at the lowest rpm would probably be a sensible move. If you're going to use a flexible shaft, you'll still have to remove the chuck from the rotary tool in order to screw on the end of the flexible shaft onto the spindle of the tool, but you can then use the chuck instead of the collet holder at the end of the flexible shaft. These chucks even fitted a very old, cheap, no-name, Chinese-made rotary tool that had been relegated to my garage several years ago, so it's use clearly isn't limited to more modern Parkside and Dremel variants.For something so useful, I find it hard to think why it doesn't come as a standard inclusion in the basic rotary tool kit (but then again, being so useful probably explains why it doesn't come as standard...!). Other than initial price, whether these keyless chucks are physically superior to the Dremel offering is something I can't comment on, but if my initial experience is representative of their long-term performance than they'll be more than adequate.

These were great at first, but after a couple of weeks the problems became clear. While using one on my flex shaft it made the most horrendous noise and I turned it off straight away. The carbide burr I had been using had come loose and was at risk of flying out at high speed, a very scary concept. I wondered if I'd assisted by the chuck rubbing against the wood, so I tightened and tried again. I soon happened again, so I stopped using it. I then tried it without the flex shaft in case there was an issue with that and tried in my rotary tool direct.Soon enough it did the same, and as such I am declaring it unfit for purpose and returning it, as I value my face and am not prepared to risk having a carbide bit embed itself into me through poor quality workmanship.Bottom line, I should have spent more and bought the original Dremel chuck instead of a 2 for 1 cheap deal.You live and learn.Buy cheap and buy twice.

Ordered 3 allways handy to have a spare but these are well made so be a good while till I need one

Was expecting better, but then, 'for the price' maybe shouldn't complain?

Ordered this to replace a stripped thread collet holder for a Lidl supplied Parkside rotary tool. It fits well and saved the tool from the bin!. Only regret is that I didn't buy this earlier as a proper chuck for the tools is far better than fiddling with those different sized collets.
