I have tried so many microplane gadgets but this is the only one to buy. The original Microplane!! We grate garlic, frozen ginger, citrus and hard cheeses all the time. I wore out my last one and tried other products. Nothing compares to this, the OG of zester-graters. I love how many colors they come in and bought two - the magenta and teal. We need two...well...maybe more because we are always reaching for this. You pay a little more but the quality is what you're looking for: sharp blades, sturdy handle, and consistent, even grating performance. The grip is ergonomic and beautiful. I love seeing these in my utensil holder. This is your best weapon for elevating all your cooking! Buy several because you're going to use them all the time. Above all, these provide the ease of use in grating hard foods like cheeses or frozen ginger.

The best zester for citrus! I love that I can hold it on top of the fruit while zesting. I can see what I’m doing and the zest stays inside the curve of the zester, ready to empty into the bowl.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Recommendation of a chefUtility:I have only used it for garlic so far. The fine grate provides a much more intense flavor when applying a garlic butter sauce over vegies or fish.

I ve had microplane graters before and they are excellent. My current on is over 10 years old and still work’s beautiful. I wanted one for camping.

I have a few of these because I use them so frequently. Great quality and size, and the rubber tips at the end keep it steady on my cutting board. This was a replacement for one I've had for several years because the rubber grip started tearing from wear. That would be expected because it gets used several times a week.

It works great. I recommend having one for zesting. I am not giving it five stars because often those reviews are mixed in with nonsense
