Very good design, great monitor for our green house air.

We live in an urban environment, and over the past few years we've been upping our air quality game. This includes adding high-quality filters to our HVAC, getting two top-notch air purifiers, and adding an air quality sensor.I thought that this Oxygen detector could give me an additional indication of our air quality and also let me know if our air is significantly sub-par. While I do think it has serves its purpose (our air seems to have the correct amount of Oxygen), it may be a more technical tool than I need. The fact is that this meter always reads 20.9 when sitting in our home. This is the correct amount of Oxygen. I can definitely see that the meter works by testing it: If put it inside a sandwich bag and then breathe into the bag, the number goes down. This makes sense, since we exhale a combination of gasses with less Oxygen than what we inhale.Bottom line: This meter seems to work very well. I recommend it for a pro who really needs a good instrument.

I've been using these for years in our winery, which is very humid and relatively harsh conditions overall for an oxygen meter. Gassing fermentations to 0% Oxygen using Nitrogen and Argon - the air going through the unit is humid and has some alcohol, so it is hard on the unit. Any time the units have had issues, the customer service has been excellent and they have replaced units even after warranties expired.

I am using this oxygen detector for my own personal in-home use. However, my experience with it has led to the rating, primarily due to challenges encountered during setup and perceived limitations in its performance. For me setting up the Oxygen detector proved to a bit of a challenge, and it became apparent that careful attention to the instructions is crucial. I would advise read and follow instructions diligently to ensure proper functionality. The device features as being drop proof and waterproof, which is commendable for ensuring longevity. I say it offers durability features and a reasonable measurement range, the challenge in the setup is perceived inconsistency in performance for myself.

We took this on our cave exploration to look for semiprecious stones. It passed the dropping test with flying colors, loved the outer coating as it made it easier to hold onto, not slippery. We spend extended periods in less than healthy environments, which was the reason for this unit. It wasn’t easy to set up and took several attempts to do so but in the end, it let us know we were in jeopardy with an audible alarm. Very happy with the product. Takes a 9 volt lithium battery. Would reccommend

This is a solid piece of gear. It's got a hard rubber coating. Easy to read and easy to operate. It has quite a few features that you can adjust if you need to (calibration check, etc). Loud beeps when thresholds are exceeded. Also loud warning beep when you power-down (so you don't accidentally turn it off). I'm using it to measure oxygen in an airtight room that sometimes has multiple people working for hours. I'm sure this is used in the field often for anyone working in a high or low O2 level area.

** UPDATE **Ran out of battery one year later. I replaced the battery and the oxygen sensor seems broken. It is reading 5.7%. Since I am writing this the reading is wrong! Worked fine for 12 months.I received this yesterday and am using it to monitor O2 in my garage (only place I can smoke and also my shop). I use Mr. Heater portable propane heaters to keep the chill off and was concerned with ventilation. It does easily pick up the difference after running these heaters for a couple hours. Now I know when to crack the garage door. I couldn’t be more pleased. In case you’re curious, I also have two CO2 alarms in the garage. This is a large three car garage plus additional space.

It's compact and feels durable, perfect for on-the-go measurements. The long battery life and sensor lifespan are standout features. Calibration out of the box was accurate, giving me confidence in its readings. The rubber exterior makes it easy to grip, even in wet conditions and give you confidence in it's survival over time.
