Everything the reviews here say about it (pos & neg) have also been my experience. It heats up fast and does a good job straightening and curling. However, it easy to press the controls by accident. So unless you hear the small noise, you'll unknowingly adjust the temp or turn it off. I can't speak to how long it lasts yet. Mine did appear dirty after curling because the "REMINGTON" letters smeared across the white part. I just waited for it to cool down and used a magic eraser to clean it up. I recommend it, especially for the price, speed, and temp it reaches.
