I have *extremely* dry eyes. Most of the time they feel either goopy or like I have something stuck in them. Systane Ultimate didn't work, Pataday didn't work, Azelastine didn't work, steroid eye drops didn't work. My optometrist suggested that I try warm compresses 5 times a day for 10 minutes, and that it should be warm/hot enough to be uncomfortable, but not actually enough to burn the skin. I'll just say right up front that I don't have time for that. I do however use this mask for 3-5 minutes at least once a day, sometimes twice, and it definitely helps.I heat it for 30 seconds, put it on my eyes LIGHTLY because it's super hot at first. I still use it but I kind of squeeze it height wise so the heat is only right where my lash line is until it cools enough for me to just let it go. Once I do that, I push in where my lash line is to make sure I get ample heat there because it does cool quite fast. Once I remove it, I push on my lash line with kind of a back and forth motion to try to express the glands. I can't really feel the glands release the oils when I do it, but afterward I can tell that my eyes have way better lubrication.Another bonus is that it creates moist heat. I don't know how these beads do it but you don't have to put it in water or do anything in particular to make it so it releases steam, but they do. My orbital eye area feels nice and moisturized when I take them off. Doesn't last, but it's nice for that moment.The only thing that could make this better is if I didn't have to put it in the microwave each time I want to use it. Sometimes I use it downstairs and that's more convenient because I am near the kitchen, but when I want to use it at night and I'm already upstairs it's kind of a hassle to have to go down to the kitchen to heat it. I know there are some masks that are self-heating like those hand warmer pouches, and that would be fantastic for this product.Verdict: I'll definitely keep purchasing these. The price is right, and they just plain work.

I need to use warm compresses on my eyes a few times a day for severe dry eyes. I use the disposable ones when I go to bed, but wanted a microwaveable one for during the day. I tried a few others and they didn’t hold heat for more than a couple minutes They also felt like they were sitting on my eye ridges instead of my eyelids. I had to press them down and hold them against my eyes to feel the warmth. This eye mask not only holds the heat much longer, but really sits right on my eyes and even feels comfortably weighted down due to the stuff inside them. They fit great- I love the Velcro adjustable strap-and are easy to use. There’s no smell, and my eyes feel great afterward. Awesome product!

Granddaughter experiencing dry eyes and blinking a lot . Worked very well for her . Also helped her relax and fit well . Would recommend

I work full time in front of multiple large monitors, and by the end of the day my eyes are sore. I always use saline drops, but they don’t give relief like this eye mask does! I pop this in the microwave for around 15 seconds, shake it a little to make sure the heated beads aren’t concentrated in one spot, and lay with the mask on my eyes for 5-10 minutes. Afterwards my eyes are so much more comfortable. I like it enough that I sent the link to this product to my coworkers.

For the past year I've had issues with eye lid pours clogging up. So my eye doctor recommended hot compresses, twice a day. I tried wash clothes but they were too wet and too hot in the microwave; then I tried Optase mask and it works great, microwave for 20 seconds or so and keep it on for 10 minutes and it loosens up the pours, then use Optase eye wipes and they clean up the lids, it's effective and easy so I highly recommend the mask. Note you should replace about 6 months because they get dirty from use and can't wash them because of ingredients.

Had some eye issues and needed a heat pad. This heated eye pad comes with a nice bag to keep it clean. Heats up well in the microwave. It heats quickly and retains heat. Have used this multiple times and enjoy using it.

Heats up quickly; but, heat only lasts a few minutes. Had to reheat 3 times to use for 10 minutes.
