I found these easy to take and effective for me. They didn't cause any suggestive discomfort, and the price is good. They seem to be effective as well.

I've heard of the many benefits of tart cherry juice, like everyone else, and it was a personal recommendation that got me to try it out. Yuck. I mean, very cherry, but overwhelmingly so, and definitely a medicinal drink, not recreational. I still wanted to experience the benefits, especially the anti-inflammatory effects, without drinking the juice, so I saw these and gave them a shot. I'm glad I did. I can tell they're working when I take them. They seem to have all the same effects as the juice, but I don't have to endure the juice any more. Plus, they last longer than a bottle of juice, so that's a plus. If you want the same effects without the taste, get these.

When I compared the ingredients of this product to the one I've used for a few years, I noticed that this is a 4:1 extract whereas my regular supplement is a 10:1 extract.If you're unfamiliar with how herbal ratio extracts work, it has to do with potency. If something is 10 to 1, that means ten parts of the original plant are going into the one final product. (The same is true with 4 to 1, so this particular supplement is much less concentrated that the one I usually take.)Is the lower ratio a bad thing? No, not necessarily! In fact, I've chosen to continue to take THIS supplement (500mg per serving at a 4:1 ratio) as a preventative. When I feel like my gout is setting in, I'll hit it with the stronger (10:1) supplement. If I can take a smaller dosage (as found here) on a regular basis, then when I take the more powerful extract, it'll have a stronger impact on my levels of uric acid (which crystalize during gout and cause intense pain). If I'm always at the highest level, the tart cherry will likely lose effectiveness over time.I find these capsules to be tasteless and easy-to-swallow. The directions recommend that two capsules be taken daily with a meal or as directed by a healthcare professional. I've dropped a star for the fact that this is a 30-day supply (60 capsules) and yet I usually get a 90-day supply for about the same price. However, I *have* been taking these capsules instead of the others for awhile now, and I feel as well as I have with those that are much stronger. Tart cherry has been a blessing to treat gout. I had a flare up many months ago and read about tart cherry and how it helps contain uric acid. I have not had an issue since taking it on a daily basis. This Tart cherry is a geat extract and contains an extract ratio of 4:1 as some reviewer pointed out. The one that I was using had an extract ratio of 10:1 which is the same as the reviewer noted. My previous tart cherry supplement has 240 capsules but only 300 mg and recommends one capsule per serving; while this one has 60 capsules and 500 mg of Tart Cherry extract. My previous supplement of taking one per day has served me well and it was cheaper than this bottle. So this extract, which works great, is a lot more expensive for that ratio of 4:1. I would probably stay with my older brand but I could see someone needing more potency and paying more for this brand.Overall this works just as well as my other brand but I was troubled to read, from a reviewer, that it contained hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. I looked at the bottle and it does contain that ingredient. I googled hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and it can cause some issues and possible serious issues if taken in large quantities. My other brand does not contain this ingedient but does contain hypromellose which has some similarities. Both are gels and probably why they are used in production. Other studies show that they are safe for animal consumption but some of the possible side effects does make someone wonder about the ingredients. I have had no issues with either supplement and am glad that I have had both. This supplement is easy to take and works for me, however, my other brand was a little bit of a better deal for me as I do not need a higher extract.

Tart Cherry supplement is good for gout and helps the muscles recover after a workout. It supports health uric acid levels and joint health. Two medium size capsules are recommended and can be taken with food or water. This is not a supplement that everyone would benefit from although those that need it will benefit greatly. Recommended for gout and for recovery after a heavy physical workout.

These are easy to swallow. There is not any aftertaste, there is a slight hint of berry as it goes down, but not very noticeable. These made my joints feel like they do when I take cherry extract, looser. I was pretty happy with this brand. No complaints.
