Oh the joys of having a CD drive again!
And waiting 10+ minutes for it to read the CD within! BUT it functions and is so easy to use. The cord is connected to the drive so NO need to have a cord available for it to be used. No drivers were needed to be used - thus far. Will update when something happens. This replaces a CD drive that had a transformer power supply and separate cords for connecting to a laptop, tower PC etc. Now all that is NOT required! Very handy and with a very nice zippered bag.

Easy to use and works great!
This disk drive works!! Just plug it in and use it. I’m not a tech wizard- plugged it in and pulled my data off a disk drive. I waited to review until I was sure it actually would work and it did and was easy!! Good purchase!

This unit “Drivered” me crazy
The unit was advertised as plug in & play. I have a recent Apple Laptop and upon plugging it in, it would not work with my computer and there was an involved process to go to a website and establish what operating system my computer had and what drivers were needed. This was a deal breaker

Yay! This actually works with my Mac!
I've been through two external CD writers that have been defective, or didn't work with my MacBook Pro. Was so happy that this one actually did!It's pretty easy to use. Plug into USB, insert a CD, and you're good to go. I appreciate that this unit includes an adaptor for USB C as well.If you have a Mac, it's important to note that initially the unit won't show up on your computer. After you put a CD in, it should show up in finder.I've been able to write CDs and import files as well. Fingers crossed it keeps working!
