Nice soft pleasant sound, good for beginner
Nice soft pleasant sound, even if a kid comes and trying to bang on it. Good for beginners. It's a minor scale and not enough notes to try to play a popular songs on it, but for a relaxing, meditative music it's fine. Easy to play some rhythmic patterns. I like it.

Very good hand pan drum!
This is perfect for me. It was $250! All the notes are in tune. I had purchased a drum twice as expensive and the sound was same/ similar… I had returned it because of finances. So, when I saw this one I hoped for the best. And being that it has free Amazon returns I figured I could go for it. I’m glad I did..! It’s an awesome hand pan drum. It’s very meditative.

Musician but never played a handpan
As a musician I love to try new instruments. I have wanted a handpan for a while now but didn't want to pay thousands of dollars on something that might be a dust collector if I didn't like playing it. I took one for the team and ordered this one. I figured I could always send it back if it didn't meet my satisfaction. No smell of chemicals, nice macrame around the center rim, case is fantastic, everything came that was shown. I put my tuner on it and the notes are just slightly off, but good enought. Small scratches but I'm sure it was done like that in the factory where it was made. Very easy to play. No instructions needed. YouTube has great videos for that. It is perfect for what I'm using it for. If I was touring with it then yes I would of gone for a professional handpan. The size makes it harder for me to hold on my lap because I'm a short person and find it easier to play on a stand. It says not to but I've seen others play on one. I purchased the gold and find it is very true to photo shown.

Good value
I bought this for my husband who has dementia and has been a musician his whole life until his illness. He picked it up pretty quickly although the sound isn't really great its good for a beginner and the price is good for the quality of the drum.
