Inexpensive and does the job

I wanted a simple, no frills, easy to use red laser pointer to use for a five minute powerpoint presentation. My only complaint is that it comes without any instructions whatsoever. I can imagine some people will return it because they cannot figure out that they need to unscrew the top cap completely so that it comes off, in order to change the red light from broad, useless, very wide geometric pattern into a small focused, useful red dot. On the other end, you have to completely unscrew until it comes off the cap that reveals a USB-A (not USB-C) male jack used for charging. USB-A is the "old" style that is big and only fits in one direction, by the way. I would definitely buy this again. It is perfect for my particular needs.

So bright

I'm using this as a cat toy laser pointer. It holds a charge very well and the beam is very bold and bright so the cats can easily see it. Then the fun begins!

Works well

Easy to charge. Charge lasts for hours of use.

Rechargeable

Great for wearing out your cats when they’re full of it! I recommend the red laser, as the green one is too bright.

For my dog

My dog loves playing with the Lazer toy. And this one is bright and heavy duty. She loves the different clusters of lights

So awesome

Rechargeable laser pointer us where it's at. It's a little bigger than a battery operated one so it's much more comfortable to hold. The battery lasts a long time and it's super bright so my cats have a super easy time following.

WARNING - THIS IS A DANGEROUS LASER - THIS IS NOT A TOY!

This a dangerous laser. It is not a toy. It is marketed as a laser pointer or a cat toy. IT SHOULD NEVER BE USED AS SUCH. I work for a company where we make lasers and we take laser safety extremely seriously. I ordered this laser thinking I would use it as a toy for our dog, but was shocked at how bright it is. I measured the power output of this laser and found it was 70 milliwatts, which is enough to cause immediate eye injuries. There is no indication anywhere on Amazon's website that this is a Class IIIB laser. In my opinion it is negligent on the part of Amazon to market this as a toy or a laser pointer and not to list the class of laser or hazards. Note that this problem is not limited to just this laser. There are tons of similar laser pointers advertised on Amazon with no indication of class or hazards. Likely it is illegal for Amazon to be selling these lasers.OSHA and the FDA list the hazards of a Class 3B lasers as "Immediate skin hazard from direct beam and immediate eye hazard when viewed directly."Do a web search on "teens injured by high power laser pointers" to find real world examples of what happens when people play with these devices. The website Laser Safety Facts lists the hazards and uses of a Class 3B laser. I'm cutting and pasting their recommendations here for completeness:WHAT IS A CLASS 3B LASER?Class 3B lasers are hazardous for eye exposure. They can heat skin and materials but are not considered a burn hazard. For visible-light lasers, Class 3B lasers' output power is between 5 and 499 milliwatts.Class 3B is the same as the Roman numeral "Class IIIb" you may see on some lasers' labels. At this website, we primarily use the Arabic numerals, for convenience.SAFE USE GUIDANCE - GENERALClass 3B visible-beam lasers are medium powered, from 5 to 499 milliwatts. A Class 3B laser can cause eye injury. The more powerful the laser, the greater the chance of injury.Use of laser protective eyewear is suggested or recommended (depending on the laser's power level), as discussed elsewhere on this page.A Class 3B laser can be a distraction, glare or flashblindness hazard for pilots and drivers. NEVER aim any laser towards an aircraft or vehicle that is in motion. This is unsafe and is illegal -- you could be arrested and jailed.Always be aware of the beam location. Keep it away from people's eyes and heads. Watch out for reflected beams from glass and shiny surfaces. When outdoors, you must avoid aiming at or near aircraft.ONLY ALLOW USE BY RESPONSIBLE PERSONSThis is not a toy. Children should not be permitted to use Class 3B lasers.Any teenager using a Class 3B laser should be continuously supervised by a responsible adult. A number of teenagers have caused eye injuries to themselves or others by misusing Class 3B and Class 4 lasers.DO NOT USE AS A LASER POINTERClass 3B (and 4) lasers are too powerful to be used as pointers. Some Class 3B (and 4) lasers may look like pointers, but these should not be used for pointing. Use a Class 2 (less than 1 mW) or Class 3R (less than 5 mW) laser for pointing purposes.

Red Beam Weak

It probably has something to do with the spectrum of dif colors, but the green beam is much stronger and more visible than the red.
