I bought this to make a small studio in my spare room. The stand is high quality and is good value. Would buy again!

This is a handy self contained backdrop support system.Add sand (I put weight plates in) to the sandbags and you're ready to go.Easy to assemble and can be ready to shoot in 10 minutes.Kit will support a cloth backdrop easily or a colorama roll but the weight of that makes it a little prone to being a little unstable so you need to take a little more care with set up and letting models know so they don't end up bringing the whole thing down on themselves.The sandbags and clamps are good quality, the stands are slightly flimsy (expected at the price) but do the job and the bag the whole lot comes in is of nice quality too.As with a lot of Neewer, for me, this is inexpensive decent quality kit aimed at the home studio, light use market rather than busy pros studio. With the right care I imagine even a busy pro studio wouldn't complain about it too much.Can't really fault it for a kit to get you started, or as a grab bag to take on location should you need to throw up a quick blue/green screen or plain backdrop.

Not as sturdy as I thought but does the work.

I already have a backdrop stand which I use a lot, so I welcomed the opportunity to review this one. The idea is pretty simple - you have two tripod-type stands and a beam going across the two which you can then hang a background from.The quality of the packaging is poor - one velcro join has already fallen off, but the product itself is sturdy made from lightweight aluminium (I assume). It also has two empty sandbags which can be used to make it more sturdy. It's easy to adjust and fairly easy to put together. The only negative on assembly is there's a spinning nut with washers which may be a bit tricky to manage when you're in a rush. There's no spring in the verticals either so you have to manage that yourself via the levers to adjust the height of each part.It also includes 6 strong spring clamps which can hold the background up. These go round the horizontal mean but are not much wider than that, so can't hold the roll I normally use and need to hold in place.Overall this product is reasonable quality and very lightweight. It's carry case is much smaller than what I have which makes it more practical, but it does come at a cost of quality.That all said, I do think it's good value and recommend it.

The build quality is very good with the product I received. The tripods and metal crossbar tubing are lightweight but seem robust enough. The tripods are stable with a plastic base and do not wobble. They are easily adjusted, assembled, and dismantled. It does not take long at all to set up and pack away this product. It is great how the tripods and the four horizontal crossbar sections all come in their own Neewer branded carry case. It has three compartments which the parts slot into. Two for the tripods and one for the four horizontal crossbar sections. The sand bags have a double zip system which should stop any leaks. Plus the sandbags seem to be made from strong fabric material which is the sort used in baggage. The spring clamps to hold the background material have rather strong springs and will definitely hold the material firmly without any slippage occurring. It is a little grip workout opening them!This product will be idea for setting up a photo or video background. Be that for a green screen or for particular themes and designs. I got this product to use to hold up a projector (sheet) screen.A very flexible product which is compact and lightweight when packed away, but sturdy enough for its purpose when set up. A negative is the height is only 210cm. It would be better if the height could go to around 3 metres. Maybe this isn’t quite the build quality for a busy professional business but it will certainly suit many for home use and occasional use elsewhere. It could be handy in a professional setting to have as a spare piece of kit.

Again for the money I have no complaints, quick & easy assembly for a projector screen in the garden and camping.

I'm impressed with the build quality of this NEEWER Backdrop Stand. I got the orange one. The tripods and metal crossbar are lightweight which is great when you are putting this up on your own. It does feel very robust despite the lightweight.The tripods have a plastic base and don't wobble about, they are easy to adjust and assembled. And isn't too time-consuming. Everything packs away in the Neewer branded carry case. Inside the case are three compartments which the parts slot into.There is a double zip on the sandbags to prevent leaks. The material of the sandbags appears to be very strong.The background screen has a spring clamp system, locking it in place to the screen. The clamps are strong and it does take some pressure to open them, but that's fine, they need to be strong.The NEEWER Backdrop Stand 10ft x 7ft, Adjustable Photo Studio Backdrop is excellent for photos or videos, easily allowing the background to be illuminated and another one added in editing software.Due to the product's lightweight and carry bag it is easy to transport and use wherever you want it.
