Blackspur BB-TT118 PP Braided Rope on Reel

We used it to secure our small dog when going into the garden and it's perfect. It probably wouldn't last more than a year if left outside and can fray of caught on sharp rocks. It was ideal for the use and much cheaper than dog specific ropes

I bought this in the hope that it would be strong enough to use for re-tensioning my garage door springs so I could replace a broken steel cable. Unfortunately it wasn't strong enough for the job but overall it seems a pretty useful rope and will be good for lots of other jobs around the house and garden. Purely out of interest I unravelled the inner white part of it, and found it's made of a single strand of a weird, web-like material which is a bit like extremely thin tissue paper (I doubt it is actually paper, it's more likely to be plastic) which can be fanned out like in my pictures. All in all good value, but if you need something super strong look for one that states a specific tensile strength.

Excellant just what i needed for the line pulley much better than the blue rope i usually use as it kept rotting this doesnt

Cheap, but not very nice rope. Doesn't feel quite 'right' due to whatever the core is made of. Probably not very strong.

Very good value for money.The rope is very strechy, however its well packed and good length
