Batteries, can't live without them!
Ah! Batteries, can't live without them. I use these in my outdoor cameras to let me know what's happening in my back and front yards. I receive warnings from the cameras that excessive activity is occurring and it could drain the batteries. I haven't found that yet because I don't have to make many changes.

Truly the gold standard in long-lasting AA batteries
Energizer AA Lithium Batteries: $13.53 for an 8-pack at the time of reviewI never used to buy Lithium AA batteries. They’re pretty expensive per cell, and with the advancements in rechargeables, I’d rather buy something I can reuse some 1500 times before I have to recycle it. But… In the last 10 years or so, a new class of device (many of which connect to the internet) has come along that has higher power demands. Things like internet-connected smoke detectors and door locks have a demand that outpaces Alkaline and NiMh batteries. So for those things, I turn to Energizer Lithium.*What I liked*:I said it once already and I’ll say it again. These are the gold standard of AA batteries. I keep a regular supply in my house as I have no less than 4 gadgets that use them. The bad news is that they are spendy but the good news is that they last a long time. I get an average of 3 YEARS out of a set of 6 in my Nest smoke detectors. I tried normal Alkaline AAs and they didn’t quite last 8 months. That’s a huge difference.*What I didn't like*:I have two complaints about these and they are both minor. The first is about the price. The cheapest I can find them for is on Amazon and that is still $1.69/battery (in the 8-pack). They can be had cheaper if you buy the combo pack w/ AAA batteries, but I don’t have any high-drain AAA devices so it’s a waste for me.The second complaint is that they are harder to recycle. I have to include them in my hazardous waste recycling, which I have to take on my own to the recycling center. A little added hassle, but not by much when I’m going there anyhow.*The Bottom Line:*These batteries are fantastic. Full stop. They do cost more, but boy do you get what you pay for. Add my voice to the chorus of over 25000 5-star reviews. These are the BEST around. So, it’s unsurprising that my score is five stars out of five. I re-buy these whenever I need more.
