DK Cars, trains, ships and planes (hardcover)As usual from "Our world in pictures" series, this book offers lovely illustrations and hundreds of interesting facts (256 pages).I bought it mainly for my 5 year old son who is absolutely into all sorts of vehicles, beginning from bikes, usual cars, supercars, lorries, trains, tall ships, modern ships, planes, jet fighters and space vehicles.This book is all about it. It does not go into depths in regards to all above, but has hundreds of pictures and as we all know, the pictures are the things which will easier catch kids attention rather than dozens of text lines.It's a perfect book for a young child or rather young child and a parent. In my opinion teenagers and adults will definitely have a look at it and enjoy it too, no doubt, but will not find it so engaging in the longer run.Please have a look at the real photos attached.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in vehicles, regardless of age, although especially children will be enjoying it the most and for the longest time.

I was looking for a plane book for my toddler, and didn't realize how big and heavy this was. But ended up keeping it, because my baby loves cars and all vehicles, and he really enjoys looking at them in pictures. Great book, with interesting details about each type of vehicle. I'm sure we'll get lots of use out of it in the future as well.

Bought for my 7 year old son's birthday & worth every penny. He has it in bed with him & keeps reading it months later. Loads of photos.

Bought for my vehicle loving 5 year old. I'll know he'll treasure it for a long time. His dad has an eye on it as well! Recommend and it's making me consider others in the seriesEdited to add: He three his arms round me in excitement to receive this, and has taken it to every relative's house we have visited. Each section starts from the oldest of a vehicle type working up to modern day models. Treasured as expected, definitely recommend for a vehicle lover

This is a good visual book for kids interested in planes, trains and things. There isn't much explanation but lots of pictures, which you can talk about. I found my 4 year old boy, who doesn't like reading practice much, showed interest in reading the words as he wanted to know what each plane or car was etc.

My son has taken this book out the library so many times that I decided to get it for him, for Christmas. He is now seven and still will spend a good amount of time looking at the various modes of transport. Excellent book - definitely recommended!

My son loves this book, very picture led so ideal for those not too pleased with reading

I’ve purchased six titles from the Our World In Pictures series. They’re all excellent: Rock and Gem; Elements; Animal; Trees/Flowers; Countries and Transportation. As a set they make a great start for Home Schooling material too.This title is an excellent way to teach children the vast variety of transportation modes. When looking at the photos you’ll realize that we have taken the necessity of getting from point A to point B to an obsessive passion. I find the imagination and effort that went into all of this amazing. Anyway you slice it, reading these books with children is a great way to spend time.

Bought this for Christmas, for our grandson. It’s a feast for the eyes, with an excellent plethora of pictures and descriptions of many many things. Great book, highly recommend. And, it’ll it will definitely keep him off screens (7 years old).

Comprei quando meu filho fez 1 ano. Ele simplesmente adora ver as figuras e já consegue associar aos veículos que vemos nas ruas. Será bastante útil por muito tempo.

The book is quite informative.. the paper quality is very good, so it’s easy for kids to use as well
