Up to Three Years ink in bottles.
The printer comes with up to 3 years ink, a bit of a gamble, as it will hopefully be a long time before I find out how long the ink lasts. I have used HP printers for many years and this was one of the reasons in choosing this model. Technology has moved on and to get the most from the printer it is necessary to download the app. This is straight forward, the paper is loaded at the back, which I now realise is very good as you can see the quantity of paper. It is quite a slow machine but the resulting prints are first class. I have not yet caught up with everything that I could do on the previous printer but I am confidant that this will come. I am 80 and things do slow down. but very pleased up to now, the family are sceptical about the 3 years ink but we will see.

E4 error, Paper jam, feed issues, awful chat support. AVOID!!
On my 2nd printer now, currently dealing with HP support again regarding the same issue. Works perfectly, decent quality prints etc, then suddenly won't work as needed. Constant paper jam errors, which sporadically fix themselves and crop up again and again and again. The paper is not actually "jammed" or stuck, it simply refuses to feed correctly. It either grips the paper so hard that it leaves roller marks and creases the page as soon as paper is dropped into the input tray or it just doesn't do anything at all. I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to print one page, only for it to then fail again. Just before the "paper jam" issues started I have had a few prints begin only to cancel themselves after printing a section of the print, it suddenly stopped printing, fed through the paper and then shows the paper jam error, wasting my paper in the process. There have also been times where blank paper has fed through the printer before and after printing. It's not a reliable printer in my experience.I have mostly been using this printer to print stickers, I have used pretty much the same paper throughout, it is 80gsm which is the same as standard copy paper. HP chat support said to me (and I quote) "Because when you use paper that are not compatible to the printer, at first it appears that everything is normal when the printer is printing fine but by the time the incompatible cartridge will create an error." I presume this means if you use good quality paper, anything above standard thin, cheap copy paper (although the printer has settings for high quality photo paper, brochure paper, gloss and matte etc) it will work at first and then break and that is supposed to be the users fault. So that's something to keep in mind, though as I said, the paper I have been using is 80gsm and is the same as standard paper.Chat support if you need it is awful, you message over whatsapp and a bot asks you questions (sometimes this fails and an error comes up, just type anything and send the message and it will either reset or continue) when you finally connect to a person, replies are often 20mins+ between messages. It took me over an hour for them to begin talking to me yesterday only to then say they were closing and would continue the chat today. The information and the bot states they are open 8am-8pm, the person I spoke to (yesterday and the first time I contacted say they close at 6pm on weekdays.) The first time I contacted them it took 3 days of several hours of back and forth where they sent me youtube videos of the wrong printer, requested I sent them videos of the printer not printing etc. They finally agreed to send me a replacement printer, it took about a week to arrive and they arranged someone to come and collect my old printer so that they could refurbish it. All was well, this was about 2 months ago and now I'm in the exact same situation. My chat yesterday the person I spoke to said he was keeping our chat open and to message today when I was available. I am currently waiting for a reply, it's been 30minutes so far and I have had no acknowledgement that anybody is actually on the other end.The whole thing is very, very frustrating and time consuming, often going round in circles.Other things to note; I like the ink system, I have not had an ecotank printer before but will certainly be getting one again. Easy to insert the ink and have done a lot of prints. You can see the ink levels and only seem to have made the smallest of dents in the Y ink. The printer can tell you the ink levels, but I have never had it actually tell me anything than "unknown" this was the case on both printers. It prints standard quality quickly, best quality can take a while but nothing too awful. It can be very sluggish, especially if it's had any kind of hiccup, it makes a lot of noise and you are left guessing what it's actually doing. If it wasn't for the paper feed issues I would happily use this printer, but my experience. It's a little larger than I expected, but I think that was simply the surprise of using a smarttank/ecotank printer for the first time. I haven't had any issues regarding wifi which is good as my last printer often had issues staying connected and the area where it is can be a little bit of a wifi dead zone on occasion. I'm desperately hoping for a refund or another replacement, I'm still waiting on HP to reply, if I get a replacement I will probably end up selling it to get some of the cost back. I wish I could contact Amazon about it but it says to contact HP on the order regarding issues.I will NOT be using HP again and am researching a replacement.Edited to add, I messaged Amazon even though not stated as eligible for return, within minutes they arranged a collection for it and the offer of a full refund. Amazon to the rescue! Replaced ot with a canon pixma and so, so much better in every regard!

Easy wifi setup.
The set up for wifi was easy. Putting the ink into the printer no problem no mess. What I found difficult was putting the ink heads on the printer. If you have very little patience this printer is not for you. There was a good supply of ink with the printer, but it is slow on the print side, ok for in my opinion for small print jobs.
