Mingrui test LED 3rd Third Brake Light for 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 Smoked Lens with Strobe Feature OEM High Mount Brake Lamp

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this 3rd BL as a part of my blacking out of my 5.7 Ram. There are many like this out there in different designs that either don’t fit correctly or aren’t nearly bright enough for their intended use. Neither of the before-mentioned occur with this unit. Side by side the dimensions are correct Vs OEM and the construction of the housing is not cheap plastic. It features a two position switch behind the housing that allows you to go between a all solid or a momentary strobe to solid light presentation upon braking. The smoked lens color is true dark gray/black with a matte like finish. The brightness level of both the white and red LEDs is exceptional as can be seen in the uploaded video. The white led color temperature is a true white w/ a very slight yellow tinge.. it is not a cool “blue” white light.I can confirm that since installation in late September of 2021—there have been ZERO water issues with the gasket and rain water. I STRONGLY recommend that before installation, thoroughly clean the placement area on the truck w/ alcohol or an on hand cleaner to remove any and all debris. This is often what leads to water issues, DO NOT skip cleaning.The housing design slightly angles the RED top half of the led upward, giving the appearance at certain angles as one half is larger than the other. As bright as this light is, passer-bys likely won’t notice this, (unless they’re OCD) and vehicles sitting at stock truck height or higher can’t miss this light when activated-so overall it’s not a bad thing.Overall I’m pleased with this unit. It’s B R I G H T, watertight (if gasket contacts to a cleaned surface), and secures in place to OEM spec. Installed on a 2014 Crew Cab Express in Bluestreak Pearl.

Better than factory and brighter

I bought this 3rd light for the square purpose break line, the cargo led was or i thought it was a plus, WRONG, everything is pointed upward, if your breaking, the back cars only see 1 line, not the whole back square shape, just 1 line, and the cargo light? Forget it, points to the sky might aswell buy a regular lamp and use it yourself, do not was your money.
