I used this product on a bedbound person to their mouth After brushing their teeth. It was perfect for that purpose because it had no harmful ingredients.

It really works as described. I saw noticeable whitening results within just a few days. Love this product! Trying to purchase again but now says: no longer available.

Dr. Brite Whitening with Mint and Charcoal is a decent (but expensive) more natural option for mouthwash, the selling point for me is the good rating on EWG.The mouthwash mainly tastes like peppermint, which is not my favorite mint, but not a bad taste. It's not as refreshing nor minty as regular mouthwash, but does help a little with bad breath (the results are not very long lasting). There's some tingling when I rinse, but very mild. I like that the mouthwash is not too sweet.As most coconut oil based oral care product it leaves the teeth with a slippery finish, but not something oily.I can't taste nor feel the charcoal in the formula; as the brand states, it's indeed no pigment. The whitening effects is minimal on me, but as a coffee drinker most whitening products don't have a significant impact.The bottle is quite bulky (very thick plastic), with a small cap that cannot be used to dispense product (I just take a mouthful straight from the bottle). The bottle was sealed with an aluminium foil for safety.

Truly the best mouthwash I’ve ever used - feels clean and doesn’t burn at all. Makes me feel like my whole mouth is healthy and clean for hours after use, but also doesn’t feel like I’m dousing myself with chemicals and additives, which is great. Unfortunately, because of how often I use it, I go through it very quickly which means it’s not cost effective. If they lowered the price considerably I’d buy WAY more! As of now, I only buy it sparingly every couple months or so. If they made it cheaper, I’d buy regularly or even subscribe to it. But yeah, great product, just too steep a price to make part of my lifestyle.

Love the ingredient list, but the mint essential oil component was so strong that after a few days of accumulated exposure it caused a sensitivity reaction on my lips (peeling, redness, tenderness) that has occurred before when I used toothpaste with a high level of cinnamon essential oil. If you know yourself to be sensitive (or buying for children) steer clear.

After my wife showed me the EWG website (ewg.org) for health reviews of everyday products, I started switching out all my self care and home products to EWG endorsed products. Dr. Brite was one of the products with the EWG seal of approval, so I looked on Amazon and read the great reviews. Although the flavor isn't as strong as my previous ACT mouthwash and doesn't contain fluoride, I like the results so far with my teeth a bit whiter that before and no change in feel from ACT. I had recently received many compliments from my dental hygienist with the use of ACT as part of my tooth care regimen, so we'll see if that holds true with the replacement of Dr. Brite. I'll be sure to report back in after my next visit.
