The absolute best for the money
The Peerless Assassin used to be one of the better air coolers on the market, but Thermalright has just pulled out another great cooler in the form of the Phantom Spirit. It's providing better performance than coolers 3x to 5x the price! Such as the top end of Noctua (NHU12A and even an NHD15 in some cases!) and many watercooling AIOs.It's not only keeping a Ryzen 7 5800X3D well under 65 degrees under heavy gaming load, it's also doing so in total silence. With the help of the software FanControl, I can set the fan curve at under 40% for most of the temperature range and the fans will be virtually silent in a closed case with decent air flow. Also, the fan don't produce any unwanted noise such as coil whine or grinding, regardless of their rpm. Now, it's not quite perfect:The top plates covering the heat pipes have some play, the fan cables are not sleaved, the fan clips (although very easy to put in place) are a bit archaic, and the general look of the fan is very generic compared to Deepcool or bequiet! alternatives. However, if you want the best of "function over form" (and that's what Noctua also does) but for a fraction of the price of other "formerly top" coolers (again, Noctua), this is the one to get.A no brainer, regardless of the budget!

Amazing cooler and excellent price
Everything was easy and straightforward and the Cooler thermals are amazing on my Ryzen 7 7800x3d.All of that for only £32 is incredible, highly recommend.

As good as a Noctua NH-D15 but smaller and cheaper
Best performing 120mm CPU cooler available today for the price - a lot better than my old NH-U12S-SE-AM4 and as good as a Noctua NH-D15 for half the price. Keeps my 5800X3D very cool and quiet especially when the CPU is undervolted.

Very good
I bought a Ryzen 9 5800x and I was using the stock AMD Wraith for the Ryzen 7 3700x.Temperatures were 70oC idle 90oC gaming. Now it's 50oC idle and 60oC gaming. So much quieter too!!!First time I'm installing a fan like this and as long as you follow the instructions it's very easy. It's actually easier to fit on than the AMD Wraith, cause that's very fiddly with the clips.I have a Mid size Tower: Cooler Master MasterBox Q500L Tower and it fits fine.

Astonishing improvement.
Playing ETS2, cpu went from 75C to 45C.Virtually silent fans too. Very pleased at performance for the price. Don't waste your cash on Noctua etc.

Remarkable difference
I had a stock CPU cooler before this one, and my temperature was pushing 90°C. After installation and running the same games, the max temperature is 35°C. I wasn’t expecting this much of a difference but I am very pleased. It was easy to install, and looks great. Only downside is that it is important to check that it will fit inside your case. It is touching the case panel in mine, but would probably fit larger cases fine, just check.
