I can't help but be incredibly impressed with the Meross line of smart home products and this one is no exception.I started with the Smart Light Switch module and a 2-pack of the Matter Energy Monitoring Smart Plugs. Was so impressed with the Smart Plugs that I got another 2-pack and have now added the Smart Door and Window Sensor to my collection.Out of the three different products the only one to cause some difficulty was the Smart Light Switch. The others have worked flawlessly since being plugged in.What I really like about this sensor is - as you'll notice in the picture - the two components do not need to be flush with each other for it to work. This makes it the perfect sensor for the internal doors in my house.Setting up, like the Smart Plugs, was a breeze. The included Smart Hub comes with a micro-USB to USB-A cable and a UK USB-A plug. This was another win for me as I was able to simply plug it directly into my UPS USB socket. Followed the instructions within the App to pair it with my Apple HomeKit, then the instructions to pair the Sensor with the Hub and voila, all done.I've now configured it to turn on the lights in my room when the door is opened (between sunset and sunrise) and turn the lights off when closed - the latter I may need to rethink if I ever decide to shut myself in the room at night 🤣If you're looking to get on the Smart Home bandwagon, looking at the Meross products to get you going would be a smart start.

Great product when it works. However, Sensor disconnects often and I have to switch it on and off for it to work again. Also, it does not alert you when it’s offline. Or disconnected.

Bought for office door. Works well.

These are fairly easy to set up, and attach to a door or window with included double-stick foam tape. The only problem is if you need to reposition it slightly, the tape doesn't stick very well. I bought a packet of double-sided foam tape at a stationery shop, so I don't have to worry about it. I set these up on all the ground-floor windows and doors at my MIL's house, and connected it to Alexa. I then added commands to have Alexa announce, "The front door has been opened!" etc. Gives her peace of mind when she's in bed upstairs at night.

I bought two of these and they are constantly disconnecting. You have to open it and remove the battery and put it back in to reconnect. Unfortunately it has to be done almost daily. Very infuriating. I sent one back as I thought it was faulty but the replacement was exactly the same. Shame as they are very good in between the resets.*Update* After a couple of months use I can confidently say that these are terrible. They need to be deleted and set up again every couple of days. No use at all*
