The unit stopped working after a short time?

Most laptops/computers only comes with 2-3 USB ports. Well that's not enough for me. I host trainings and need USB ports for speakers, microphones external CD drive, etc. This has changed to game for me. I have one with 4 ports and needed more. Glad I got it.

Brought this unit because it had a long enough cord (3 ft), that reaches from 3.0 USB port on the back of my desktop unit. Since I had it, it sporadically stops working at random times. I tried switching ports, rebooting computer, re-installing the unit & the problem persists. Sometimes it will stop working while I'm doing work causing my connected peripheral items to stop working causing my computer to crash. You'll be better off purchasing a better-quality, name brand hub than these generic Chinese ones.*Update 2/9/24*There is a jack for a plug in the rear of the unit for a power supply. One was not provided with the unit, but it apparently accepts a 5v, 2000mVa power supply. Might help with solving the intermittent performance.

But works well. I like being able to turn each spot in the outlet on or off. It works well. So far, so good.
