The cable allowed for the quickest migration from an older Mac to a new one that I have ever experienced. The last time I did it, the process required hours. This time it was done in under 20 minutes.

I use this cable to transfer very large files (300-500+page documents per file with graphics, photos and movies) to and from my Macbook Air to an external hard drive, as well as to backup my computer onto an additional external hard drive. I am little paranoid as I have lost files before, so I always make extra backups. This cable does it very quickly! It is fast! I am extremely happy with this cable as it is very sturdy and does not tangle. All my files are transferred (depending on the size) on average, in about 5-10 seconds at most. Thunderbolt is the way to go.
