What are you waiting for?
This is a great game! Season after season of action packed fun. Control your favourite team in manager mode where you can create your dream squad and buy your favourite players with a premiership club. Or you could do what I did and choose a lower down team and take them to the top. There are also a couple of great mini games and the opporunity to watch unlockable interviews, and 2006 season highlights. The only downpoint is the commentry. For example I had a corner and five minutes later scored to which the commentator said, 'It's a corner, I wonder what they can make of it here.' Otherwise the actual football gameplay is great. MUST GET GAME!

Average and no better!
Having just bought an Xbox 360 I was desperate to find out just how good the new fifa game was so I bought it for my PSP. I have always been a big Pro Evo fan and was convinced that EA Sports were catching Konami up in terms of gameplay etc.How wrong I was. This PSP version is simply not good enough, graphically I found it disappointing, player liknesses are not particularly good, Robert Green (West Ham's goalkeeper) is actually very dark (almost Black) in the game, at first I thought it was Shaka Hislop! The gameplay reminded me of Fifa games of old, with no real control over the ball and passing seems to be a bit hit and miss. I thought that the PSP version was also a little sluggish and slow. Sound is good though with commentry from Clive Tyldesley and Andy Gray although they of course do repeat themselves with alarming regularity. It was then that it had all hit me and I realised how average this game is, so much is repeated, cutscenes before the match and the annoying repetition that the commentry gets cut off at the end of every match when Gray starts his comments after the final whistle (not such a bad thing you may say)The only thing that I am pleased about is that I am now sure that I will doing the Pro Evo route when it comes out for the 360 and not the Fifa route. I just think that EA have rushed this title and filled the game up with pointless side games like the management and wall game, why do they not just make a great footy game and leave management to Codemasters etc..All in all....don't waste your money, it don't grow on trees.

Still not in the same league as Pro Evolution
Being the football fanatic that I am every year I purchase both the updated FIFA and Pro Evolution series on their release dates. And as with each and every year EA release FIFA about a month or two before Konami release Pro Evolution in Europe. There are a few more teams, the Turkish superligi has also been included to the various leagues that are already available, and the kits, stadiums and ball types have also been updated. This is where EA go one up against their Konami counterparts.FIFA have improved the gameplay slightly with their latest instalment but the ball physics still have a lot to be desired. Much to my disapointment I still managed to take an unrealistic shot from about 40 yards out, there was a lot of curl on the ball but again, as with every FIFA series, no swerve or dip on the shot, just this unrealistic inswinging curl. The reaction and movement of the Goalkeepers are also just as unrealistic as the ball physics. The motion of the players when kicking the ball is another issue that still needs to be resolved. I've also read from some video game junkies that the the graphics of FIFA is better than Pro Evolution. That is something I would strongly argue against, the players on Pro Evolution are a lot more detailed than the players on FIFA.Taking into consideration of how important the gameplay is, afterall that's the main factor why I spend the time that I do on these video games, this is where Konami's Pro Evolution series not only scores an equaliser but also strolls to victory. Sure, FIFA have the licenses to all these official clubs and leagues, but the gameplay is just not in the same league as Pro Evolution.I would have liked to review this game and not make comparisons as I have done but if the guys at EA were to drink some coffee and wake up to the fact that they should be trying to improve the actual gameplay instead of making additions to the leagues available then I think this would have been a review of praise and nothing less. Even though I've yet to have the pleasure of playing Pro Evolution soccer 6 if you don't have the finances to purchase both Pro Evolution and FIFA then I would advise you to wait for Pro Evolution.PS. When was the last time anyone played a football simulation which resembled a realistic sized pitch? I think Sensible Soccer on the Megadrive (still a classic in my book, remember?) was the last time I was able to create a decent enough space to run into.

Not bad
FIFA 07 deffinately is a good game, and it sure does make the most of the psp graphics. it has a load of new features, including the "wall attack" witch comes under "training". yeah thats fun, but it never really gripped me, and made me want to play more. in fact after about five minutes i got bored! but for you footy fans this will be a good game, so enjoy! but for everyone else, dont bother.
