Works as expected. Installation was probably the easiest task when building a coop and run. For the first couple of weeks, I only used manually, but my chicks are now 11 weeks and have access to the run from 8:15am to 8:50pm. I don't have experience with the door reversing in the event there is a bird in the opening at close time...they are pretty good about being inside when it's time for bed.This door has manual mode and timer. I don't believe it can be set with sunrise and sunset. I have also used the remote to keep them out of the coop when cleaning. It works, but takes a few presses of the button through the hardware cloth to get the door to close.I've had no issues with the solar charging. When first taken out of the box, it was at 3 of 4 on the battery meter. The solar panel gets afternoon sun and is now fully charged, even with all the rain and clouds we've had this spring.

So it was time for me to build a new chicken coop and in the process of me doing so I came across this auto door. I love that it runs on solar because where the girls roost there is no power. I have been using the door for a few months and it works seamlessly. The door opens and closes every time without fail. Love that it’s made of metal and not cheap plastic. You can set when you want it to open and close each day. It comes with a handy remote but I am too far away from the coop for it to work. Great value for the cost!
