This D7 scan tool is amazing I would love to be able to get picked for chance to test and review a new product cause it would really be a amazing experience for me . just know that if you want ECU programming online only compatible with VW,Benz,BMW and ECU offline programming offline only compatible with Ford,Mazda, and Lincoln. So ECU programming is not compatible with GM and etc so if you looking for ECU programming keep that in mind.Best place to buy parts once you get this awesome scanner is EBay Motors there cheap fast delivery usually have a warranty just read description n check before you buy. This D7 scan tool is amazing it’s helped me through so much especially with me looking for a new vehicle if it wasn’t for me having this amazing tool I would of got ripped off by a lot of car dealers who stereotyped me cause I’m a woman n thought I didn’t have any mechanic knowledge but thanks to my ex teaching me a lot about mechanic and me paying attention so I could learn the things I wanted to know along with having this scan tool after 10 car lots finally made a choice. This scan tool helped me know everything in detail of what was wrong with every suv I looked at and explained certain things other things I already understood or if not I google search it to understand how severe the problem was but I always make sure I have my scanner wherever I go along with most give you a 2-3 year warranty like my stopped charging after a year and xtool official was very helpful with me sending back my old scanner and shipping me out a new one and keeping me updated on when I would receive my new one made sure I was satisfied and answered any questions I had pretty quick. If it wasn’t for me having this scanner I wouldn’t of know I needed to change the ac clutch which is smarter to change whole ac compressor with ac clutch attached cause ac clutch still can fail if you change only it so smarter to just change the whole ac compressor with clutch attached so you’re not paying to get the clutch replaced twice. Along with you can reprogram key it’s called IMMO on here. I’m able to test my throttle bottle mass air flow sensor and can test the battery and test your instrument cluster if the gas gage ,battery or temperature gage light is dim or out either the bulb or whole instrument cluster needs changed. Along with this scan tool tells you what spark plug cylinder needs changed what abs wheel sensor needs changed it does abs bleeding ,window initialization,oil reset, water pump actuation,airbag reset,tire size reset,injector coding,etc. so this scanner is great it has helped me a lot and not having it made me realize how much more it’s helpful so definitely want to stick with Xtool official scanners they are really good

It doesn’t do everything, but it does a lot of things well. The software, overall, is easy to navigate. Build quality is pretty good though we did run into an issue (will get to later).After hooking up to the internet , we update the device and once that process was done we hooked up to our first car. Hit the auto scan and boom, in business. It read codes (or lack there of) in multiple systems, checking things like PCM, TCM, Airbag, ABS, TPMS. Whatever system the car was equipped with, it read it. Comparing the codes pulled with a standard code reader, sometimes the description was a little off what a generic description would be. The accuracy of the diag was spot on. Very happy to have this in our arsenal.Now, we did run into a build quality issue, we have a very busy shop and somewhere along the line noticed a little rattle inside the device. It was a heavy clunk if held certain ways. We reached out to support and they were amazing! The problem was identified quickly and though we had to pay shipping (less than $20), the problem was handled quickly and they took care of us. Looking forward to keeping this one and hopefully adding more tools from xtool in the future.

The Xtool D7 is a very powerful and comprehensive diagnostic tool with an 8 PID count for Live Data, with the option of a normal list of graphs or a 2D overlay of all 8 PIDs that allows the filtering out of non relevant PIDs to be able to focus on the freeze frame action of specific PIDs as they interact with the other selected ones. There is also a grip on the slidebar so I can jump to the frame of interest. I prefer the real-time response from the 16 pin VGA style cable. Although the cable can be difficult to manage at times, the the 9' extentiom cable allows me to watch the screen while under the hood. The buffering lag from Bluetooth devices leave me waiting that half second of response time to see the results of my action.With the functions of this mid-level tool, I can pinpoint the the cause of any or all of the components that are out of balance as well as why they are out of balance and by how far.Cleaning or replacing those components can then be verified, compared and recorded for several reasons, such as to check my work or provide a printout of the diagnostic path taken to resolve the issue and bring the system back into balance.At that point, I have spent a small amount money on parts and invested a moderate amount of money on tools, but the abillity to know which circuit could be causing an imbalance of my vehicle is of much more value then paying someone else to fix it for me, and still only wonder wich components or connectors might fail next.If the need for programming should arise, then I will know why, as well as how to minimize or prevent the need for future programming from here on.When every vehicle I've ever owned has been pre-owned or built from scrap, lol, and now most vehicles on the road are dependent on transisters to maintain a near perfect balance of the smooth function of that vehicle, then learning the language of electronic control of energy through digital communication becomes a valuable skill that can save the avarage novice a bundle of money on diagnostic and repair costs.The D7 has been a game changer for me, to have the knowledge of the function of my vehicles and maintain that balance for a reasonable investment of studying and observing the components involved and know the costly "what as well as why" answer to most any reason for that light to let me know that an issue IS present. A monthly diagnostic is less painful then a trip to the dentist.The customer service team is very dedicated and responded the very next day. They really do care that have I have purchased the device that will provide me with the level of diagnostic interaction that I am needing to assist me in keeping all of my vehicles in as near perfect balance as financially possible.I know from experience with a Launch X431 pad that I tried to use, that the process to success is to beg the development team for support that may never arrive. This is not the case with Xtool. They are very engaged, as well as knowledgeable to the needs of the customer.I am confident that I have made a logical choice in purchasing the D7 from Xtool, and I believe that you will be amazed at the performance and versatility of Xtool products.

Good product and does what it said it would do. Only thing was that it said it was able to program transmissions and its not capable. But other than that overall great product for the price.
