Not a heavy weight chain, 190g, but a strong small chain
Good solid stainless steel chain, mine was exactly 504 cm long and weighed 190 g. Each link is 15 mm long, 7 mm wide and has a thickness of 1.5mm. So about the size of chain that holds the bath plug in my bath, but made of what seems to be a stronger stainless steel. The photo shows the chain on a piece of A3 green paper. It arrived with two 40 mm long carabiners which were made with 4 mm diameter steel. Each link was individually welded closed so they cannot be prised apart. The metal is fairly strong, but not what I would consider heavy duty, it is just snippable with a decent large pair of pliers, but nothing smaller would get through it. It does not look as sturdy as a couple of the photographs in the listing show. However, it would be suitable for many applications but I would be hesitant about loading it too highly.I was expecting something stronger to use in the garden to allow rainwater to run down it. I will try it with this, but it won't be the chunky chain display I was hoping for. It could still be used in decorative ways, handbag handle, hanging photos along it to stop marking the walls, fancy indoor washing line!! But I don't think it is strong enough to chain your bike up with, well at least not if you are hoping to find it still there when you come back!!

Delivery was dreadful
The chain was exellent used to stop my bins from falling over in strong winds. The delivery on this occasion was not up to the usual good standard we are used to.

Good all weather chain
I use chains in a similar way to how I use rope around the garden and in the garage where most of my machine tools are. Chains are far better to hold up Timber then ropes because there is less friction when pulling through the machine. It makes a 2 man job into a 1. I collect timber to use in craft works as well as carving, as a rule I store my timber upright usually using rope, chain and/or ratchet straps to hole them all in place. For a home light industrial purposes this makes the ideal chain with plenty of weight baring capabilities and the right amount of hold. It is only 4 meters in length which restricts its uses for my needs however looped through rafter I am able to set the right height and bare the weight of the time that I am sawing. The chain makes the perfect tool for this job and can easily be height adjusted simply by pinning the links. Its a great chain, personally I wouldn't use it for any security purposes as it can easily be cut through with a pair of bolt cutters. For light work and storage, I can highly recommend this.

very small closed link chain
Hi, very small linked chain with 2 carabiners, the chain is strong and not something id use personally for securing bikes or anything of substantial weight, but can be used for hanging plants pots of which I will use it for 😀
