This is not paper or cardboard, like many other paint by number kits. This one is actual canvas.The finished size of this painting is 15 3/4" x 19 1/2"It has the numbers printed on the canvas plus an additional paper that has the design and all the numbers printed on it. I'm guessing that's so ifyou've partially covered an area and want to know what number you were painting, you can still find out. It also has a small, colorful photo of the finished design.They even included three brushes to make sure you are able to get your design fully painted.It comes in a nice box so you can gift it to someone if you desire to.MADE IN CHINA.

This isn't your kids paint by numbers, this is a seriously detailed painting that will take time and patience to finish. The sections of the painting are clearly delineated and numbered, and the paint is correspondingly numbered, so it's not hard to figure out, but it is tiny and detailed and will take some time and attention to detail to finish nicely.The kit includes the paint colors needed and some brushes as well as instructions.The canvas comes rolled up but flattens out after laying it flat with some books to hold out down. This will provide my gf with hours and hours of fun.

I cannot speak to the quality of this as it is meant to be an angel tree gift this holiday season. I hope it finds a child who is creative and loves horses. I think other reviews speak more to the quality and ease of use (or difficulty).
