Just arrived but on initial evaluation these candles were exactly what I was looking for. Flickering is subtle but doesn’t look fake. Candles illuminate nicely in the white base, based on the candle size. Remote shut off is handy for turning the candles on and to control the flicker.Bought a second set to use in conjunction with these at the sound meditations I host. I’ve been searching for quite some time and glad that I found these at an amazing $.Quite possibly will buy a third set for the larger venues I use.

These candles were the best purchase! One small problem on my set was the battery + and - were backwards. So just switch them around. Easily remedied.Other than that, I used the candles at Halloween and then I used them at Christmas, same batteries, never had to switch them out. For Christmas, they were in my windows. You can leave the On switch on (I did the entire month, from Thanksgiving weekend until New Years). The candles have a remote, you can set them on a timer, up to 8 hours, and you can make them solid or flicker like an actual candle. And you can adjust the brightness as well. At Halloween they looked very haunting and at Christmas they made the house look warm and inviting.But the coolest part I discovered was that when we set the timer, the next day the candles automatically turned themselves back on and off at the same times and I never had to touch them again the whole month! So we had them set to come on about 4 pm and set the 8 hr timer, and they did it on that schedule the entire month of Dec. I was thrilled with them.They also look realistic. The first time my mom saw them, she thought we'd left real candles burning in our windows while we were away from the house. (Yeah...no mom!) So....other than having to switch the batteries around, these are very wonderful and I highly recommend.

These are terrific and realistic looking candles. I didn’t realize when I bought them that they are actually made of wax. We’re using them on a fireplace candelabra. The fake light is down inside the candle making them look real, especially with the flicker setting. Appreciate the ability to set the timer. Love them! Great purchase. Highly recommended.

These are very pretty, but two did not work and I needed them the night they arrived. The remote is awesome and them coming on and off automatically is great. I have bought before and never an issue.

The media could not be loaded. Remote-controlled, realistic flickering different modes. Can adjust brightness & flickering. Set timer for automatic turn on & off the same times everyday without touching them or just use the remote. We used them in the church windows & centerpieces for our Christmas church dinner. People thought they were real. Many compliments. Beautiful touch to your decor & they are a nice gift too.

I would not recommend these unless you have a specific need for what they offer.Quality: 4/5. I purchased the black set. On arrival everything worked. There was one battery cap that was tough to get off due to being broken, but the item did arrive with two extra battery caps (presumably because they know there are sometimes issues). Quality is about what would be expected for the price. Cheap plastic.Issues: The way these produce light is odd. They are good for up lighting which is why you see most people putting them inside a fireplace. They don't produce much light, and the light they do produce only goes up. I found a use for them up lighting curtains, which is actually pretty neat. I wanted to have candles that I could put in sconces, but these won't do the job. They also are pretty skinny.Overall they *could* be worth it if you need them for a very specific purpose. I'll be honest, I bought them on a whim as I was buying other LED candles to try. I probably would not buy these again because I use my fireplace for real fires, and they don't fit most other applications for which you'd use candles. These would be horrible window lights.

I have birds and went years without burning candles because of that, and missed the cozy atmosphere that the glow of candlelight provides. I ran across these a few years ago and they are still going strong. I use Eneloop rechargeable batteries in them and run them on the timer for 4 hours a night, and the batteries last for weeks - not sure exactly how many as I take the batteries out by habit to recharge before they dim out, but at least 3 weeks. I like that you can adjust the brightness and go with either a solid light or a subtle flicker which is pretty realistic. Adding to the realism is the fact that the body of the candles is made with actual wax. So they look great, but that also means they can get damaged like a real wax candle if bumped or dropped, so take the same care you would with a real candle.These provide a wonderful ambiance, and the remote has worked well. I liked them so much that I ended up buying multiple sets. The only con I can think of is that the battery doors have a strong spring and you have to watch how you put them on. Other than that, I have no caveats and would definitely recommend these.
