I don't like harnesses as opposed to collars. They are terrible for training and make it nearly impossible to effectively communicate with the dog through tugs on the leash. Some breeds, like dachshunds, require them and that can't be gotten around.This particular product, in extra small, is a good first harness for a puppy. It adjusts down to a size that can restrain a very small body while remaining slightly loose, and is easy to fine tune. The dachshund I use it on is blue, therefore susceptible to hair loss because of especially weak follicles; the sleeve type harnesses where the back and chest are fully encased in fabric tend to wear the fur off in those areas, and this one of course does not.It can be a bit of a puzzle if the straps become improperly situated on the connecting metal rings, but brains need exercise too. The webbing from which it's made is sturdy, though it could benefit from some reflective material. The clips are, as always, the weak spot, assuredly getting weaker as the harness size reduces, but the double D-rings offer assurance that your pup won't be going rogue in the event of failure.All said and done, I rate this product very highly - especially for the price.

This is exactly what I needed for my hot dog. Most XS harness are thin and not durable. This one is thick and definitely made for doggies, vs the other xs we had looked more suitable for cats. The hardware gives it a nice touch. It’s black metal, not painted though, which is what makes this one stand out from the other harnesses. Will def repurchase in the future but this one looks like it will hold up a very long time.—————-UPDATEIt’s been about a week since purchase. Used it twice, once outdoors and once indoors (left it on her for a while throughout the day). About 2-3 hours later the harness was sagging around her body and upon closer look, the plastic adjustable piece had broken. If this can be replaced I would still highly recommend the harness.

Got two of these in different colors one for both of my youngest pups. They fit great and my pups didn't fight me about them. They typically hate wearing clothes or any collars or harnesses, but these They have done great with!

My dad has a blind Shih Tzu and I felt his harness was hot and too tight. Living in the hot Sacramento. His dog stays inside but I wanted him to have a light harness so we can walk him or tie him up for brief moments in the house so he doesn’t wonder off since he’s blind. I put this harness on him and he was so happy! I could tell by him wagging his tail. It’s light and he can’t slide out of it. It’s perfect. He doesn’t even know anything’s on him plus I feel animals don’t like anything on their coat. Our sweet blind doggy…so happy to find this. Made his little life happier.

I especially like to use it when training inside for opening doors, etc. easy to use. I have two of them.

I love the colors and the size adjusts easily. My dog does try to slip out of it and gets his elbow caught on occasion when rolling around, so it may not be great for pullers.

I have arthritis in my hands. I need a harness that is easy to open and close the attachment button. This is very hard to push the small device. The reflective and pink colors are beautiful. The harness does not mat my dogs fur under her arms. But..I needed a more effective release button.

I measured my dog according to your chart and needed a large I had it customized and when I received it, it is way too big so I had to re-order a medium and can’t return this one so I was a little bit disappointed in the sizing, other than that, it looks like a decent harness.
