I’ve worn night guards for almost 40 years, have always used manual cleaning methods including brushing with a toothbrush and efferdent-type cleaners. Saw a high-dollar version of this cleaner at the dentist’s office and asked what a normal person would buy. The hygienist recommended a few like this one.Bottom line is I like it, it cleans very well, mostly easy to store (living in an RV right now where space is tight), and, although already mentioned, it cleans very, very well :-)Pros: Easy to use, gets my mouth guard very clean, inexpensive.Cons: Shape makes it a little difficult for me to find a place for it, but it can be stored in a drawer quite easily.

I received the iSonic F3900 Ultrasonic Denture/Aligner/Retainer Cleaner on October 13th (13 days ago). This is my second one. The first one lasted almost 3 years and I was happy with that since I use it every day. I was not expecting this one to stop working in less than two weeks. I would turn it on and a second or two later it shut off. Anyway I contacted them right away and they were wonderful and refunded my money to a gift card and I didn't have to send the defective one back. I will probably buy another one since I think this was probably just a fluke. I am giving it 5 stars for the wonderful service and I loved it before that happened.

I use these for my retainers. They are the clear Invisalign-type retainers. You fill with water, toss your retainers or whatever in there and turn it on. It turns off automatically after 5 minutes. Then remove your retainers, rinse them off and that's it. I do this every night and my retainers stay nice and clean.Cleaning the device itself is annoying. Apparently you used to be able to remove the water reservoir but not anymore. That means you need to unplug and grab the entire thing to pour out the left over water. Cleaning is a bit annoying as well because you want to make sure you don't spill too much water over the sides and cause any water damager. But otherwise it's not too bad.Once a week I throw in my retainers as well as a denture tablet. Mine came with a few tablets but I also grabbed a pack of walmart tablets and they work just fine. Then I fill with water, toss a tablet, then put the retainers in. Put them in the machine for three cycles: two back-to-back 5-minute cycles, then wait 5 minutes for the machine to cool down, then one final 5-minute cycle. Then remove the retainers and rinse + clean out the denture water from the machine.It's a shame you can't remove the water reservoir anymore because that would make cleaning much easier, but from what I understand they did this because too many people were messing up their devices. Oh well. Still a good purchase.
