Worth every penny
Big fan of the helmet. Works exactly as it should. Have done some welding cutting and grinding with this hood and so far I am stoked on it. Headgear is fantastic. Way more comfortable than my old huntsman and Hobart hoods. A.little word to dial in initially but once you get the settings where you like the it's great. I would definitely recommend getting one of these. We'll worth the price. And the view is awesome

It is a quality Helmet that works perfectly,, and the price won"tkkill your budget.
It arrived the next day after placing the order. The helmet build seems solid with plenty of room for my respirator. It took a couple of minutes reading the instructions, but I figured out the settings. Once I started to run a bead it was evident that this helmet was a game changer. The field of view is amazing, but when you see the Tru Color and the clarity of the view! Wow it is something to behold. The control knobs are on the outside of the helmet, and very easy to adjust on the fly. the test button is on the inside which is nice that it is cause once you test, it is out of the way. The knobs that lock the helmet up really need to be tight, the sweet spot that holds it up and still lets you flip it down can be elusive. BUT with the view through the lens, I find I put it down and go to work. There is no need to do a lot of flipping. Its is a quality Helmet that works perfectly, the price is right, the build quality is evident, and the spare screen protectors are a plus. Get one!

Great for the price.
This hood is great for the price. Is it Lincoln quality? Heck no. But Lincoln is 500 bucks for the same features. Like others said, the headgear is just OK. It’s thin stiff plastic but it does work. I mean, how much do you adjust your headgear after it’s set? Compared to my LE Viking, the plastic of the hood is very thin and flexible. My biggest complaint is how narrow the screen is. Feel like I go cross eyed when welding sometimes. My second biggest complaint is the location of the selector switch to change to grind mode. No way you can select it with gloves on without accidentally changing the shade or delay. But I do like it has grind mode switch separate from shade unlike my Lincoln. Both would be better with a large push click in button instead. I wouldn’t pay over 60 bucks for this hood. I am sending it back and have ordered the YesWeld panoramic with a light to see how it is. If it’s better, I will keep that one. If my older LE Viking had LE version of true vision, I wouldn’t even be here. And I’m for sure not spending 500 for a hood to play on my welder in my garage every once in a while.

2nd purchase. Highly satisfied.
This is my second Yeswelder helmet. I got it because after 2 years, the battery needed changing and is somewhat difficult to do. The upgraded model (LY800) has an easy access battery. And with coupon, cheaper than the older model.Other reviews that claim it’s flimsy, cheap materials, have the wrong expectation. It’s low cost, lightweight eye protection for welding. Not a hard hat for head protection. If you weld for hours, daily, maybe this isn’t the helmet for you. Otherwise, it lightweight, comfortable, and works. What more is needed?Highly recommended!

Excellent value for money.
I don't normally write reviews but Yeswelder has really been impressing me lately so I felt it was right to give an honest critic of this helmet.I purchased my first one at the beginning of 2022. I have used it for heavy welding every since and it mostly held up. The settings work extremely well and are easy to use. The head strap is not as thick as perhaps a Killer, but the head strap has held up for the last two years. I also get a load of compliments on how nice it looks.I weld mostly aluminum. I use mig primarily and occasionally TiG. I weld mostly between 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick pieces with the occasional 3/8 and even rarer 1/2 piece. I weld 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The helmet held up fine for 2 years and finally started having issues. Sometimes the auto darken function doesn't work, or it just stays on. This is mostly my fault as I hadn't taken very good care of it. So keep in mind, I weld hard core AND I didn't take care of it and it still held up. I know people who paid for a 300 dollar helmet and pay 75 bucks for a new lens once a year. I think I definitely got my moneys worth out of the helmet I ordered. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought a new one after the last one started having issues. It didn't die, it just started having issues. If you buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Good helmet except the head strap
Helmet works very well. The auto darkening lens is very fast and lightens up enough to see your work when not welding. The only thing I don't like about it is the head strap. It adjusts easily but it has a flexible back strap that is a little awkward and sometimes annoying. When I pull down the helmet it tends to loosen up at the flex area and the helmet doesn't feel secure. I don't weld to often, about 5 times a month so I can deal with it. Overall it's a nice helmet and has a large glass so you see really well.
