Download the manual it si a big help
Good product. It works great.. I suggest downloading the manual from SiriusXM. It is very good and is a big help in setting up the radio. This kit has an antenna with a cable long enough to reach into my attic. It all works. Great audio..

I love this radio! No Wifi = no problem
I turned off my Wifi permanently, replacing it with ethernet connections for my computer and TV (I use Firestick with an ethernet adapter for TV) after going down the rabbit hole of EMF risks.I wanted to listen to music through my low end, kinda old Bose Wave radio, but couldn’t figure out a way to get mostly ad free music of a particular genre (jazz for me ) without Wifi.In my Wifi days I’d just stream music from Pandora or Spotify on my iPhone and use an aux cable to connect the phone to the Bose, but obviously that wasn’t an option for me without a Wifi connection to stream music on the phone (Actually I’d gotten rid of the smartphone anyway in my efforts in the direction of digital minimalism so I had neither a smartphone nor a wifi connection).I considered streaming music on my Mac (which is connected to internet with an ethernet cable ) and using an auxiliary cable to connect the Mac to the the old Bose, but I use my Mac for everything, and am always changing locations with it, so I didn’t want to be attached to the radio with an aux cable.I’m just explaining my exact gear and thought process in case anyone else is tech challenged like me and trying to figure out the same issue.Oh also - I live out in the middle of nowhere and get only one station consistently on regular FM radio - a country station - so as I considered options for music, one of the many unknowns was whether I could even get satellite radio stations out here (again, I’m tech challenged, and did not understand signal strength of satellite versus regular am/fm and all that nonsense).Anyway! Enter the Sirius radio with home kit. I took the plunge. Set up is easy. Directions spell it out. You will NEED to connect the Sirius& home kit to speakers (NOT included!) to listen to music. Just emphasizing this because, again, this wasn’t obvious to me.Anyway after getting the Sirius plugged in and sitting in the HomeKit dock, I connected it to my old radio Bose Wave radio using an aux to aux cable; you may need to make sure you have one of these if you intend to use a wired connection between the Sirius and the system you’ll listen to the Sirius through. I think you can use bluetooth to connect instead, but my Bose Wave doesn’t even have Bluetooth capability - so check if your radio/speakers do if that’s how you intend to connect your stereo system/speakers to the Sirius.Once the Sirius is powered on and everything, the screen will prompt you to do next steps - you have to create a Sirius account online, choose the subscription you want (I think the radio included a cheap or free one for a few months when I bought mine), and there is a period of 30 minutes to an hour between finishing this process and getting music. I got super frustrated because I thought I’d done something wrong in this interval, and would have to get in touch w customer service, but thankfully that wasn’t the case.Look online at the channel guide to figure out what you want to listen to; if you haven’t used satellite radio before there’s a little learning curve with figuring out the stations and the remote.Anyway I love the Sirius so much. Having round the clock music is a game changer for my mood. I’m so much happier! The signal is great. I’ve had zero issues.I highly recommend this product!

Bought to plug into older Bose wave radio
Wanted sat radio in the house that could go in an older car, too. This works perfectly. Used the 'aux in' plug in the back of a Bose radio and the sound is great. The radio has no bluetooth, so this was the way to go. Quite a long antenna wire on the small rectangular antenna. Note that this one worked with antenna placed inside a double pane window (sitting next to window lock on double-hung window, not screwed or taped down). Key is that the window faces west/southwest. You need to do a bit of research regarding antenna placement. Easy to find guidance, I believe from SiriusXM site. In Massachusetts, it needed to be aimed near about 240 degrees (southwest) and up a little bit. Where to aim is based on where you are located versus the best position in the sky at which to aim, but generally to the south per manufacturer. The receiver has a screen setting to show the signal strength. In a city with SiriusXM transmitted like FM radio, it should be easier. They call that 'terrestrial' broadcast. Don't get discouraged by any of this because it's really nice to have SiriusXM in the house and not use the app.If you don't have a window facing the best direction, there is a different antenna kit that we didn't need. It's a really long wire and can go outside (up through the attic, for example) and outside to attach with screws under an eave.Excellent product overall.

My Only Complaint With The SiriusXM Home Kit...
I have no problems using the SiriusXM Home Kit, other than the remote control. You can't just change the channels, by aiming the remote control and pressing down the numbers, to change it. You have to use the "display" button and then the "direct" button to change the channel, that you want it for. If not, for that, then you would have to use the up and down arrow, everytime that you want to find the station that you are looking for and that can be time consuming and monotonous, at the same time. Other than the remote control being a pain in the butt, to use, at times, the rest of it, works GREAT, FOR ME!!!.

Two Thumbs Up!
I live in northeast New Jersey just a stones throw away from NYC. There was a time that rock radio was king. Those days are long gone. Now, your stuck with stale and flat commercial radio. The same songs by the same artists over and over again.I thought I'd take the leap to XM radio so I could enjoy music radio the way it should be. I bought this as a Christmas present for myself and also one for my son's apartment. I figure I'll pay the yearly fee for him as one of his Christmas presents every year. It's a shame one has to pay for radio, but it's well worth it. I hooked mine up to my Bose Wave 3 radio and the sound couldn't be better. I had a little trouble getting the antenna right. You really need a strong signal. When I did everything was great. I just have the all music package which is all I wanted. There's music for every taste. The only bad thing I could say is that if you need help through the XM phone number, I found it difficult to talk to someone who speaks clear English. It could be a real challenge trying to understand the person on the other end. Can't be sure, but it sounds like your calling India. Anyway.......for about 10 bucks a month your getting radio the way it used to be. Highly recommended!

We hope that all parts are compatible.
Our radio arrived in a reasonable time. However, the hook up for the hot line was not compatible with the radio. The company is sending us a new XM radio and, we are hoping the new connections will work.We are missing our music and news!
