What an experience purchasing the Maono USB Professional Gaming Podcasting Microphone Kit has been.I'm just starting out. I am trying to get my gear in order (slowly) and after many hours of watching and reading reviewer content I decided on this one for $64.99It arrived promptly and my excitement soared as I pulled the aluminum alloy carrying case out of the retail box and opened it.Inside the well padded case I found in the kit a Maono USB microphone, 2.0 USB cable, shock mount, telescoping microphone mount, heavy duty table stand, a pop filter and a foam filter.The first thing I noticed was the carrying case does not lock as described. The second thing I noticed was the USB cable was thin, flimsy and had multiple kinks throughout. When I plugged it into the USB port the female end was loose and there was far too much play in the port for a recognizable connection and my computer was unable to recognize any additional hardware while the microphone was not responding at all.I straightaway called Amazon Tech Support. An amazing, helpful rep quickly put a new and better cable into my cart at $00.00 and it promptly arrived.I was able to finally troubleshoot this mic in my computer settings with no help from a business card sized instruction insert due to the microscopic font and images. Useless just throw that away and let your computer walk you through the work.Tada! Maono USB Mic is live and I recorded a demo session. The microphone's pattern is cardioid, meaning you must speak close enough to the diaphragm at the front of the microphone. The Maono label must be facing your voice. Don't do what I did, pop it into the shock mount backward and then think it's not working properly.This microphone delivers a deep, rich low output and cancels ALL extraneous noise. Even if someone is sitting on the other side of the mic coughing it will be cancelled.The stand is very, very sturdy and heavy. Fully extended it does not lose its balance and I trust in its capacity to keep any of the larger microphones upright.I have yet to cultivate a more in depth relationship with this microphone, but for what I have discovered thus far it's an awesome piece of equipment for the money especially in addition to all the goodies that come with the kit less the crappy USB cable.

Gosh DARN! This mic is truly a wonder, I had been fighting with my iPhone to lay down VO for work and finally bit the bullet and committed to the 50-something-dollar price tag and I am SO HAPPY I did. Not only does my VO now sound CRISP, I also don't have to battle with the pop monster (P's and T's are the WORST). The quality is so good I might keep recording my voice outside of work and create the world's next hottest podcast. Keep your eyes peeled.

I have experience working with Professional Sound Equipment and Microphones as an industry professional. Therefore, I prefer to use Industry Standard Gear whenever possible, provided I can afford it. As a cost-cutting measure, I opted for a more affordable option and found that the mic isn't bad for its price range. However, the microphone is a bit sensitive, so it's important to ensure it's set up in the perfect location for optimal performance. This mic is perfect for those who use Zoom and Team Apps for remote office meetings. In my opinion, it's great for Zoom meetings, but I wouldn't recommend using it for studio sessions or recording music. If you are looking for something that won't break the bank and is efficient, this would be a sensible buy.

I wanted to try something different because of the headset's I used for microphones were okay, but sometimes the mic was too close to my mouth and I would have people ask me to turn down the mic.I decided to try one that would stand on my desk. The great thing about this is how highly sensitive it is, I can run a test and whisper as low as I can and the I can clearly hear everything I'm whispering. And the microphone is sitting about 2.5 to 3 feet away from me. It's actually next to my monitor and does not get in the way.I tested it with MS Teams and people can definitely tell a difference in the audio quality.I'm very happy with this product. But now that I know how super sensitive the mic is, I always unplug it when I'm done. Never know when the NSA is listening in. LOL!
